Dr. Paolo Carlo Colombo, MD

I'm a long time patient of Dr. Colombo, (6 years), and he has brought me back from the brink of a most devastating case of CHF. He has managed my condition and with the implant of a Left Ventricular Device-LVAD, he and the team of surgeons and Nurses at NYP Columbia have managed to get me back to as a normal a life as one could expect after living with the CHF condition for many years. He and his staff have also been able to work closely with me, my family and other medical professionals to make sure I stay healthy and his professional manner is not only targeted to the physical results. He is acutely aware of the need for communications, and he has provided me and my family with the utmost of respect and clear information on managing my condition. Each time I look into the faces of my grandchildren, I also have a "thank you" to Dr. Colombo.

My husband first saw Dr. Colombo in 2015 and was finally diagnosed correctly after seeing several cardiologists. My husband's quality of life was significantly improved after being prescribed the proper meds, treatment, etc. In 2019, my husband is very grateful to be able to see Dr. Colombo again because of an insurance change. Dr. Colombo is a very highly regarded cardiologist and is also very caring.

On my appointment day, 11Jul18, Dr. Colombo talked to us for 5 min., got up from his chair, and while texting told us 'I'll call you in an hour, Need to leave now' and walked out. My sister flew over from Germany to be here for me during this difficult time (hospital stay due to heart failure). She even Extended her stay to be present at this follow-up appointment only to be left sitting there, along with me, because Dr. Colombo 'had to leave'!?
