Dr. Oscar Manrique, MD

Dr. Manrique is THE BEST example of what every surgeon should be. His bedside manner is beyond compare. His ability to deliver balance between your expectations or desires and what is REALISTIC and SAFEST for you is CLEARLY EXPLAINED. His COMPASSION for you is evident in every visit. You never feel rushed and his attention is solely on your situation. His SKILL and CARE during surgery ensures that you are given the BEST OUTCOME possible. Not only did he reconstruct my breasts with zero complications ( I followed his post op instructions exactly), I can look in the mirror and feel great physically and emotionally. I could not be happier with the result. He was my second opinion and it was clear after a few minutes into that consult, that I would choose him to be my surgeon. I have no doubt that any other path would have left me feeling like I was pieced together like a project and breast cancer would always show its ugly head! Dr. Manrique is my blessing and I am forever grateful.

Dr Manrique stepped in when my PS abruptly suspended his practice after my expanders were placed.I could not have received better care. He and his staff were so compassionate, concerned and extremely patient with me. He did an excellent job, they look perfect. Syracuse is very fortunate to have Dr. Manrique practicing in this area. The office is also beautiful and staff extremely friendly!! Highly recommend him!!

This doctors office is made up of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. They forced me to send a referral 3 times before speaking to me then refused to render service and refused to provide documentation of refused service so I could go else where and accused me of trying to commit insurance fruad for simply seeking a referral when I was told they couldn't preform the surgery I need. All the way from the surgical coordinator to the office manager I was belittled and gasslit about the situation. When I expressed that my insurance company required I go to them or provide documentation that they cant provide the service they told me it was a me problem and I was unreasonable. Extremely problematic ethical problems are happening in this office and they need to be investigated by the state.

Dr Manrique is personable and intelligent. He's very thorough in his explanations of his procedures, often to the point of repeating himself so that you really understand and consent to his care plans. In terms of his surgical ability, he's fantastic. I can't recommend him enough.
