Extremely complex spinal fractures
I fainted and fractured my spine in three places. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital. I met Dr. Orin Atlas in an emergency situation where I had to make choices. Choices that would affect my future mobility. I have had two previous spinal fusions as a child so it caused more risk and surgical skill than most cases. I was frightened. With great kindness, Dr Atlas spent time with me and explained my options in details. At 61 years old, I chose surgery. Dr. Atlas spoke with me prior to surgery and reassured me before they administered medication and wheeled me into the operating room. After surgery, he called my husband to tell him the surgery was a “success”. Both pre and post surgery Dr. Atlas was available for questions or concerns. His bedside manner is kind and understanding. I am now six weeks post surgery and recently had my latest follow up appointment. The appointment was NOT rushed and the staff at his office were amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Atlas.

I've been to Dr. Atlas 6 or 7 times and I think he is a wonderful doctor the best he has done 6 surgeries on my back and each time he has done an excellent job I absolutely love and adore Dr. Atlas I wouldn't go to anyone else this last time I couldn't move my right leg it was like it was paralyzed and I wasn't sure if I would walk again without some kind of assistance but I'm walking and pretty much without any assistance I still need to use my walker if I walk far plus I'm still healing from my surgery but I'm doing 100 percent better he is the absolute best

Laminectomy Surgery
For the last year I had been struggling with left leg pain and numbness in my right foot. I was not able to walk a half block or stand more than 5 minutes before I started to have severe pain. I was diagnosed through a lumbar MRI with severe central canal stenosis at L2 to L3. I made an appointment with Dr. Orin Atlas to seek treatment. He recommended and performed a laminectomy surgery. After surgery I followed my instructions for home care. Walking was recommended. Now after 12 days since surgery I am walking outside about 1 and a half miles a day with no pain in my legs and no numbness in my feet. Dr. Atlas did an excellent job. I am very happy with the successful results after surgery. I want to thank Dr. Atlas and his staff for all they did. They made me feel comfortable with their professionalism and friendliness.

Stellar professional
I'm a 35 yr medical professional veteran; new to area and needed to choose an orth surgeon outside my known area for my husbands cervical condition (8 rods). We couldn't be more pleased with all aspects of the surgical assessment, operation, and outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Atlas to anyone needing orthopedic procedures. He only explained all necessary related information but again repeated on pre-surgical visit to assure we had no issues or questions and understood everything. My husband recovered quicker than expected with better than anticipated outcome. We have utmost confidence in Dr. Atlas and will use him for any future related orthopedic issues in our family. Dr. Atlas was a refreshing experience from the rushed, incomplete, removed and production line processes seen in many medical offices today.

Very Helpful
Dr Atlas was very helpful and kind. My health and posture were failing for four months. I saw other specialist, including rheumatologist, cardiologist, and neurologist. All they said was testing was normal follow up with primary care. Dr. Atlas not only said NOT orthopedic but continued Asking me questions and looking at previous testing. He advised me what type of specialist and testing he thought I needed. It was very encouraging and helpful to have a doctor Acknowledge something was wrong and I needed help quickly. The receptionist and office manager were helpful and friendly too.

Dr. Oren Atlas Outstanding Surgeon
I had the worst pain of my life in my neck. I couldn't move my neck at all. I lost motion in my right arm. Dr. Atlas diagnosis was an epidural abscess and I would have to have an immediate laminectomy surgery. Dr Atlas went in three times to remove the abscess from two different locations in my spinal cord. He then went in a fourth time to insert titanium rods to stabilize my neck. I was treated with intravenous antibiotics to prevent further infection. I spent ten days in Kessler Rehab. In three months I was fully recovered. I had no pain in my neck. I got back full motion in both my neck and right arm. I have the same range of motion that I had prior to my illness. Dr. Atlas is an amazing surgeon. Not only did I make a full recovery, it was in three months, which I didn't expect. I was expecting it to be longer. I am so grateful for the skill and experience of Dr. Atlas. His calm demeaner and confidence kept me at ease through the whole ordeal.

I was seen in the emergency room with a partial loss of feeling in both legs and difficulty urinating. Dr Atlas fixed an issue that has been problematic for 40 years. I was on my feet in just a few days after surgery. Thank you for using your advanced skills to fix my complex problem.

Fixed me good!
I was treated with care and concern by Dr Atlas and his team from initial contact through post surgical visits. Highly recommend to anyone experiencing back pain. When I called with an urgent need for an appointment due to a severely painful herniated disc they agreed to take me in much faster than I expected. I entered the office with level 10 pain, barely able to stand or walk. I am now pain free and enjoying full mobility three weeks after surgery. I am eternally grateful to this team and recommend them without hesitation!

Outstanding Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
I came to Dr. Atlas with a history of back issues, and for years I suffered from chronic sciatic pain. What stood out to me the most was the professionalism exhibited by Dr. Atlas. He is respectful and treats his clients with the utmost care. I felt like a person instead of a number. I understood from the start that he wanted the best for me. He explained thoroughly what was causing my pain and where it was coming from. He explained with great detail and clarity his intended course of action. He is very confident in his craft, and I had no problem putting my trust in his hand. He is genuine with his care and concern from start to finish. I have told others about the care I received and highly recommended him to others! Because of his skill as a surgeon, I am pain-free, and getting stronger each day. He is the best!

Unfortunately I found myself having to be transported to the hospital by ambulance and was admitted with excruciating pain and unable to sit up or stand. I met with Dr. Atlas and he assured me that he would be able to help. Went into surgery with pain and woke up in recovery room on my back, pain free. Dr. Atlas and his staff have been simply amazing through this whole ordeal. I have had two visits to Atlas Spine since the surgery and I have never waited more than a few minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Atlas was very informative about surgery and answered all of my concerns. Its only been a 6 weeks since the surgery and I am getting stronger everyday. I would recommend Atlas Spine to my family and friends.

He gave me my life back
I met Dr. Atlas 9 months after my car accident. He was referred to me by a pain management doctor. My first surgeon recommended a spine stimulator. Dr. Atlas took one look at the disks and immediately went into action. Prior to the car accident I was biking 20+ miles, running, and doing cardio daily. My activity, after the accident went to zero. Pain was a constant 8-9, I wasn’t sleeping and couldn’t eat from pain. My left leg and calf were so numb, I drug my leg and started falling. Dr. Atlas assured me that he had a solution that would give me a 70-80% quality of life back. Well thanks to the amazing care of Dr. Atlas, his staff and associates, the day of surgery they get you up. I started crying because I immediately felt my leg. The nurses started crying as well. Dr. Atlas called that night and at 6am the next day, asking how was I doing and how were they treating me. I can truly say my pain is less than 1. That’s only from surgery site. I am only 2 weeks out, and am walking 4mile

Simply Amazing
Had a bad fall and found myself unable to move for over a week. I was hoping the pain would go away and I would heal up on my own. Unfortunately it did not and I found myself having to be transported to the hospital by ambulance and was admitted. I met with Dr. Atlas and he assured me that he would be able to help. Went into surgery unable to move, laying my left side for more than two weeks to waking up in the recovery room on my back, pain free. Dr. Atlas and his staff have been simply amazing through this whole ordeal. I have had a few visits to Atlas Spine since the surgery and I have never waited more than a few minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Atlas was very informative about surgery and answered all of my concerns. Its been a few months since the surgery and I'm back to my everyday life. I would recommend Atlas Spine to my family and friends.
