Dr. Ontario Lau, MD

Visit lasted less than 5 minutes. Nurse didn’t weight or take my vitals. Dr. Lau started by saying what I had was no big deal.Examined my throat in an aggressive manner. Extremely dismissive and even sarcastic. A few minutes after leaving I received a thorough medical report indicating that he had examined my eyes, ears, throat and thoroughly explained a plan and diagnosis when this was not true. 100% do not recommend.

The single worst standalone medical appointment I've ever had. His manner was both aggressive and dismissive, the language barrier was profound, and he demonstrated so little interest in taking a reasonable amount of care that I felt the need to double check his badge to make sure he was actually the MD with whom appointment had been scheduled.

Very abrupt. Saw him for ear infection when our usual ENT was booked. No thorough exam except extremely painful ear exam. Returned on follow up with worsening infection and was told he needed to clean the ear and it was going to hurt and there’d be blood. No thanks. Refused and left with a script for drops. Went to the ENT we normally use who did thorough exam no painful debridement necessary. While immediate treatment plan to use prescribed drops was the same he discussed a possible underlying issue and next steps. Very informative. Would never return to Dr. Lau.

Abrupt. Did not feel comfortable.

I Recently Had The Pleasure of Having an Appointment with Dr. Ontario Lau in His Monroe Office. I Went to Dr. Lau Regarding A Severe Ear Ringing and Loss of Hearing due to a Legal Manner. Dr. Lau Was Extremely Concerned and Professional throughout the Visit and Even Conducted a Thorough Cleaning of Both My Ears. The Entire Staff was Absolutely Fantastic And Very Helpful. I Would Recommend The above to My Family, Friends or Anyone Looking For an ENT.

Dr Lau very professional makes his patients feel welcome gives very detailed explanation of treatment and office is very pleasant.

Excellent with children. I feel that he genuinely cares about his patients.

The Doctor was professional. Explained in detail what my problem is and the treatment. He answered all my questions and when I left his office I felt well informed and was aware of all my options.

I had an awful experience with Dr.Lau, how can he call himself a doctor? He wouldn't even treat me saying they weren't severe enough and to come back when it got worse.

Waited an hour to see Dr. Lau only for him to tell us to come back when we have an infection.
