They do have staff and time to promote this doctor online but no appointments in weeks and no responses on phone calls. The staff can’t even get my medication refilled request handled. MA and staff drama in exam room. Being called “nice” , that tells you something else.

He and his staff are awesome

He could not do anything for my situation. No one picked up the phone at the office for 20 minutes. Terrible

Very disappointed. I was referred by Dr. Harris neurologist to see this provider, took 3 months to him him and ended up with PA, that will now ask him if surgery is appropriate. More waiting ??

Dr C took care of my son who had a life threatening accident. Dr Choutka showed exceptional care and concern for my kid and our family not to mention he is an amazing surgeon who handled the emergency surgery so well! He and his team communicated openly and honestly and made themselves available to our entire family! I cannot express how grateful we are for Dr Choutka and his team. Props to St Al’s for landing this amazing person!

Dr. Choutka is so kind and took time to show me the MRI and Xrays and explained everything that he would be doing in surgery and patiently answered all my questions.

Dr. Chutka gave me the answers I was needing and some clarity on some things I was told that were misleading. He was very thorough and had myself and my husband involved in the conversation all the way through. I would definitely recommend Dr. Chutka to anyone!!

I’ve been aware of my chiari malformation since I was 15. During childbirth, my OB and anesthesiology consulted with Dr. Choutka about the epidural. They told me he said “to follow up with him after, he’d be happy to see me.” I put it off for a while cause in my numerous experiences with neurology, few of the doctors are any good. When I finally worked up the nerve to try, I received a message that they “reviewed my file and there is no Chiari so follow up with your PCM about your “headaches””. That was not my complaint and clearly, they reviewed someone else’s file since it is clearly on the imaging and documented extensively. Dismissive and clearly unorganized enough to be reviewing the wrong medicinal information for a patient.

I had a dangerous metastatic breast cancer tumor compressing my spinal cord and needed urgent surgery to hopefully not be paralyzed. Thanks to Dr. Choutka and the excellent team at Saint Alphonsus (and a lot of PT) I have been able to go kayaking and hiking this summer. He explained things thoroughly and was very kind.

Saw the PA who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She was very through and caring. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

It's so clear that he cares about people, not to mention it's just as obvious that he is brilliant and knowledgeable about his field. It's wonderful when you find those qualities all in one Dr! Even though my diagnosis and outlook are not what anyone would want to hear, Dr Choutka delivered difficult news with such compassion and an explanation of details at my level, that I left feeling confident that I am in the best possible hands, and that if anything can possibly be done for me that he can and will do it. I'm very thankful to be in his care!

I was recently treated by Dr. Choutka, and on 11/4/2020 Brain surgery by him., From the moment I met Him, I was in no better hands then his.. Very caring, explained everything to me. I recommend him to all.

I have been a patient of Dr. Choutka’s for 3 1/2 years, and I can honestly say he is the best physician I have ever had, and I am not a youngster. He is brilliant, kind, caring, and goes the extra mile every time. He treats patients and family as if they were his own family, yet is still very humble and soft spoken. Dr. Choutka is one of the finest medical professionals I have ever worked with. He is so professional.

Carpal tunnel surgery. Little incision on the wrist, went in with a scope and clipped the tissue. The most minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery out there that I know off. Uses propofol to sedate. I was in and out in no time. I went to work the second day. And amazing MD and I highly recommend him.

We are very thankful Dr. Choutka was on duty when my husband was hit by a truck and in er and icu. Will recommend to family and friends.
