Dr. Omar Baker, MD

Dr Omar Baker is rude and condescending. He does not take time to listen to parents concerns but rather makes you feel like you are a waste of his time and he’s in a mad rush to get out of the appointment. His brother Dr Zayed Baker is night and day difference and so much kinder and wonderful! I can’t fathom how they are related. Schedule with anyone except Omar Baker!!!

Dr. Baker is a great doctor. He has wonderful staff that are also nice and helpful. Highly recommend him.

I have been bringing my children to Dr Omar since birth. I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He is great with the children. My kids adore him. He doesn't prescribe unnecessary medication with is a huge plus for me. Very friendly and polite. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Dr Baker is a great doctor. I bring my child to him all the time and he is always helpful. Gets straight to the point explains very well. Also has his staff call me the next day to make sure my child is recovering. We couldn't have for a better doctor.

Dr Omar Baker and his staff is amazing. The place is a little hard to find but the office is one of the best. They are very attentive and help my family all the time.

Dr. Baker is a Godsend. He is a master of medicine and provides the ultimate level of patient care. He cares deeply for each of his patients while providing an unparalleled patient experience. He is incomparable medically whilst having unconditional empathy and kindness. He is my family's sole health care provider and we are elated to have the PRIVELEGE of being under his sacred care.

Omar Baker is probably the most arrogant doctor I've met. He barely spends time with a patient and makes hasty decisions. One example - my 2 year old didn't say much during a half minute visit, Dr. Baker diagnosed him with speech delay and sent us to a speech therapist. The latter concluded there are absolutely no delays in our son's speech development. Beware of constant over-billing. The doctor will throw in a whole slew of diagnosis and charge Level 3 or Level 4 to most harmless sick visits.

Having a new born is already a challenge, and choosing a doctor that shares the challenge is hard to find. Dr. Omar Baker is exceptional in keeping my child healthy and very knowledgable for new parents like us. He not only practices what he took an oath for but redefines the patient physician relationship.

Echoing previous reviewers here: Dr Baker is gruff, boorish, obnoxious, condescending, hasty, and he does not listen. When treating our 8-week-old daughter, he rushed the appointment and lost his temper when asked a question about a medication he prescribed. It is unacceptable for a physician to answer a question with, "Medicine is not bad" and to rudely ignore concerns. Previous appointment with Dr Velocovik (sp?) was pleasant and thorough, but we need a practice where we can trust the doctor

We started seeing dr baker after switching two other practices when my son was 3 years old. My son has ASD and dr baker has been amazing with his care. He has referred us to multiple specialists and even managed to get us in to see specialists with months long waiting lists immediately. He is very thorough in his examination and extremely well informed. We now have a second baby and she too sees dr baker as her pediatrician.

I was completely disappointed with the service provided by Dr. Baker and will NEVER return! After nurse issued shots, we figured Dr. Baker would come in and verify status of previous week illness, greet his patient, answer any questions and advise of care after shots. However Dr. Baker NEVER came to room. I will NEVER schedule another appointment with him. He is TOO busy and not efficient! If you want through, considerate care for your son or daughter DO NOT visit Dr. Omar Baker!

About a year ago, we switched to Riverside Pediatrics, after hearing positive reviews. Both Dr. Baker and Dr. John have been wonderful with my son and daughter. They are compassionate, understanding, and very knowledgable. The staff at Riverside Maxwell Lane location is just as great. Riverside has many resources (including a 24-hour helpline, where you can talk to a doctor or nurse), but they are also so personable. Now, I go to their Internal Medicine Practice for adults!

Dr. Baker is a phenomenal doctor. He took care of my cousin and he never liked any other doctor other than Dr. Baker. He is very sweet and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Omar Baker.
