Dr. Omar Atassi, MD

Dad broke his ulna and radius. We were referred to Dr. Atassi by one of the doctors at Ben Taub. Once we reached out to get my dad an appointment with Dr. Atassi, since the beginning, the staff was great and very mindful. RN Rony was very informative and guided me with everything I needed to have ready before surgery. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Atassi was very informative and very patient, answering all questions regarding the surgery. Dad was treated great, we are in the recovery phase now. Need to say the treatment hasn't changed after surgery. The staff is a call away, and they have answered any questions or concerns when needed. Overall, we are tremendously satisfied with Dr. Atassi and his team. Highly recommend!

I can not honestly say enough great things about Dr. Atassi. My son needed surgery on his leg and this particular surgery was a very big one due to a bone infection he had. He had several surgeries prior to us meeting Dr. Atassi, my son was out of state when he was involved in an accident which he had to seek medical attention there. Dr. Atassi really took the time to explain things to us and assured us everything would be ok and he was not going to loss his leg, which we thought it was very possible due to the extent of his infection. He really took the time to think about his approach on how he was going to do the surgery, because like I previously stated this was not a simple surgery. The first doctor we saw felt this was over their head with what my son needed and we were referred to Dr. Atassi and we feel we could have not been referred to a better doctor. My family will always be grateful to him and his professionalism.

The staff was very friendly and helpful though the process. Dr. Atassi was very kind in explaining actually what was wrong with my leg and how to fix it. My doctor sent me to him due to the fact after six months of tests, therapy, and office visits, he could not tell me why I was in pain. His recommendation was to see Dr. Atassi. Dr. Atassi was a God-sent, he knew actually what was wrong and the process of pain relief. Thank you, Dr. Atassi!

I shattered my left tibia. Dr. Atassi fixed my knee, set my mind at ease with his amazing bedside manner, and the incision scar is better than any others I've ever seen. Even my pain management doctor said Dr. Atassi did a gorgeous job. Would highly recommend!

Very disappointed with Dr. Atassi. I had a knee fracture. He wanted me to wear a brace and his brace person told me to order from Amazon since Medicare would not pay which was not true. The brace was not working..I called about the brace and nothing happened. I also had a broken wrist another Baylor orthopedic surgeon was following. I was told that I needed surgery and the Dept chair said that he was going to be out of town and suggested Dr. Atassi. When I saw Dr. Atassi he said there was no difference if I had surgery or didn’t have surgery-same outcome. He didn’t make sense and I was not going to let him touch me. I fired him.
