Condescending and rude
I have never had a doctor talk to me in such a rude and condescending manner. I asked what seemed to me a pretty relevant and important question (is the damage to my eyesight permanent) and she responded in an angry and condescending tone that I should let her get through what she had to get through without asking questions. Her tone was completely bizarre. I was able to politely push back and she became more responsive, but patients who are less assertive, esp. senior patients, may not get their questions answered and be treated very poorly. I will never go to her again.

She asked questions and clearly didn't listen to my answers, had a very aggressive, rude, condescending tone, and came up with an absurd diagnosis. I would never go back to her under any circumstances.

Professional,thorough and very knowledgeable Take
Her attention to my condition, understanding all aspects of it and suggested treatment options. Above all, she treated me as an equal and with respect and courtesy . She is a very busy doctor, so her time is very valuable and reserved for medical details.

The doctor's office called just after 10 o'clock this morning to say the appointment was cancelled. My appointment was made 1 year ago, and I taking day off to go to the 2 o'clock appointment. Dr. Liao is very impolite and doesn't answer patiently when seeing her, and sometimes ignores it. Never met such a doctor. And some of the staff in the their office are unprofessional.

A super smart and personable doctor.
Both my wife and I have been patients of Dr. Liao for many years. She became an Internist and then an Eye doctor. So she is a wealth of knowledge to us just by looking into our eyes. She is extremely knowledgable and we trust her advice. I just had both my cataracts removed by Dr. Liao. She answered my MANY questions, and my surgery went well. I have highly recommended her to my friends.

Patient
Dr. Liao has been my eye doctor for many years. She is amazing. Always makes me feel great about my health efforts. Gives me tips to maintain my vision and they are so helpful. She does it in a way that I remember the tips and review them with her a year later. She is kind and thorough. I am so grateful to have her be part of my medical team!

My visit with Dr. Liao was horrible. She was harsh, condescending, unprofessional and made me feel stupid because my description of my eye issue was too vague for her. I told her that she was being aggressive in her questioning and she said she wanted to "start over”, I requested another doctor because Dr. Liao made me feel so uncomfortable.

Dr. Liao is amazing. I saw 3 separate health professionals last week, and Dr. Liao was the only one who asked whether I had gotten a flu vaccine, and whether I had checked that my CPAP machine was not one that had been recalled. Even though I know she sees a ton of people every day, my visits never feel rushed, and she always really listens to my questions and concerns. One of the best doctors I see.

I had a left eye cataract removed and a replacement lens implanted a couple of weeks ago. While it is not easy for someone as busy as me to follow the pre- and post-op protocol, I tried to follow it very carefully because, having worked in the medical field myself for many years, I knew it could mean the difference between a good outcome or a bad outcome on something that will last for the rest of my life. That's important to me when it comes to my eyesight. Dr Liao left no stone unturned and was very direct when it came to making sure I was fully informed about what some might call cumbersome details. I even confirmed her approach with a 1 st cousin of mine that is an ophthalmologist. I really appreciated her approach. I started with everything being a blur (unless I wore expensive progressive lenses) to now having 20/20 vision in that eye. The difference is truly incredible and I will now have that for the rest of my life.

Rude, and condescending when dealing with the elderly. Despicable behavior to my 91 year old father. I will be contacted my father’s insurance TO NOT pay for the office visit (Visit for possible cataracts), in addition to elevating her unprofessional behavior to the medical community. Shame on her.

Her people skills are left at home every day. I have talked with a few patients who she gave surgery on and all three i talked to ended up having to get another surgery to correct what Dr. Liao did. Some people might be able to pass school but doesn't mean they actually should practice.

I used to work in the medical field and my mother saw Dr. Liao for a general visit recently. I was shocked to hear the way she had been treated - if I spoke to any patient the way she spoke to my mother, I would have been fired. Just so disrespectful, condescending, and insulting. Shame on you, Dr. Liao. Your patient may not be a doctor, but that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve respect and attention when she goes to you seeking help. Don't act like your patients are unworthy of your time.

Dr. Liao is one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure to know. She helped me at a time that I needed her most about five years ago. It was as if she were an old friend who put me at ease immediately. She was able to identify my problem and make recommendations to my PC. She cares about the whole patient not just their eyes. I trust her with my health. She never rushes but takes time to listen and answer questions. I thank the Lord for placing me in her care.
