Dr. Oleana Lamendola, MD

I underwent a procedure at GI Associates with Dr. Oleana N. Lamendola. She made me feel at ease from the start, listened to my concerns and answered my questions. She was kind and knowledgeable, with an excellent bedside manner. The whole process, new to me, was painless. Her staff was also welcoming and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Lamendola!

Dr. Lamendola is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. I developed Ulcerative Colitis a few years back, and was very scared as I'd never had any major health problems before. She got me in for a colonoscopy ASAP, diagnosed it correctly, and put me on meds that worked - pronto. I was so relieved that she didn't just tell me to take probiotics for a few months, or say "You're probably just stressed from work. Try to take it easy." She is so personable and has great bedside manner - cut & dry and direct so I understand the details of my disease, but also genuine and down to earth. She is a busy woman, but when it's your appointment time, she gives you ALL of her attention and listens to your concerns. Her staff is excellent as well - there's always someone I can call if I have any questions. I don't live in Louisiana permanently anymore, but will make a special trip to see Dr. Lamendola when any issues arise - she is brilliant and I'm so fortunate to have found her!

Dr. Lamendola has one of the nicest teams I've met. She's really personable and thorough. Made my first procedure a great experience.

Dr. Lamendola is caring and conscientious. She checked in before my procedure to answer any questions and make sure I was comfortable with it. She showed great leadership in the procedure room. After the procedure she offered careful and clear information and made sure I did not have any questions. She was very busy but I did not feel rushed. I certainly recommend Dr. Lamendola should you require care from her specialty area.

From when I entered until I left Dr. Lamendola's office, all staff was friendly, calming, very professional. They greeted me with smiles and used gentle tones. My nurse was outstanding; she was super kind, provided explicit instructions, and was a great conversationalist. The nurse anesthetist, again an excellent communicator, was gentle and efficient. Dr. Lamendola was pleasantly sociable and easily communicated the procedure using understandable language, and I love her sense of humor! Her entire team were professional, confident, and fun (I laughed a lot!), and they all made me feel like I was their only patient.

Might be my favorite physician, and I have a few. Makes you feel like her favorite patient, even if you can be a pain in the a$$ like I can.

She made the process very easy, explaining everything and reassuring me since I was nervous.
