Dr. O'Ann Fredstrom, MD

Made a point of repeatedly telling me she was “semi-retired” as if I should feel honored she was working with me at all. Was late to every appointment we had, despite me explaining that the one day a week she was willing to see me was a day I was working and I would have to take a break to call her. Asked almost zero questions, gave me a prescription and then refused to refill it after I had to reschedule an appointment (because of work, like I said in the beginning!) She called me a “drug-seeker” and accused me of “not taking my recovery seriously” (I wanted to try medication to manage my ADHD) and after the last appointment we had, I was miserable and sobbing in my car. I cancelled all future appointments with her and even though I’m struggling to find another provider, I will not go back to Dr. Fredstrom.

My experience with Dr. Fredstrom was terrible. I went to see her at a time when I didn't really know or understand what I was dealing with and was horribly ill and alone. I needed her to tell me what was going on, what I could expect, how treatment would proceed, etc...in short, I needed proper medical care! She was extremely distant, cold, and impersonal. She asked a minimum of questions and without comment other than to tell me to show up the next month, handed me some prescription and that was it. I could only stand it for two or three visits and knew by then that she was never going to behave differently. She significantly added to my despair rather than even minimally going through the motions. I promptly switched to another doctor who, much to my relief, was the polar opposite of Dr. Fredstrom. I would recommend not even seeing her to begin with. Definitely not worth it. Wish there was an option for no stars. No provider should get even one star under these conditions.

My first appointment with Doctor F. She was 1/2 hour late, yet I did not get the time back. She took two phone calls during our “session.” These calls were from an automated system. She never apologized for being late and taking calls nor did she recognize how inappropriate and unprofessional her behavior was. I spoke to the manager on oduty. The response was “that sounds like her.” Dr F has a private practice. She charges quite a bit for her time yet she has no regard for anyone else’s time.

Wouldn't return my phone calls when I was having problems with the medication she prescribed.
