Dr. Nusrat Chaudhary, MD

Dr. Chaudhary has been my oncologist for five years. I feel I have received exceptional treatment. She listens carefully and has a calm caring manner.

Dr Chaudhary was far more focused on forcing me to accept the highest priced iron infusion drug (for anemia) rather than what worked best for me. The drug she pushed was not recommended for cardiac patients overall, due to increased BP reaction. She even told me that Novant 'no longer stocked' my preferred drug. I discovered that was incorrect when I called the pharmacist directly. I encountered 'Nurse Ratchett" in the infusion center at Matthews- an needle injection that turned out to be unbelievably painful. Subsequently, I told Dr. C I was going to transfer back to Presbyterian Main for infusions. She then notified me she was withdrawing as my hematologist (as if I'd ever go back to her). I concluded that her clinic would not be able to profit from the higher priced drug infusion, so she wasn't interested in treating me. Zero stars if that is possible. A 'don't cross me' doctor.

Dr Chaudhary has been my oncologist for almost 2 years now. She is very attentive and compassionate. She listens and speaks on the level a person and their loved one understands. I don't think I could have a better oncologist. Susan Rummage
