I'm confused as to why there are other patients that have indicated that Dr. K takes her time and is very thorough. If you go in for any type of ailment, she will refer you out to a colleague specialist. This means if you need to see a GI doctor, you're going to get referred to the GI doctor that she's friends with and that's it. If they can't get you in for 3 months for a consult, welp, you'll just have to wait. She doesn't run labs, she doesn't seem to have any sense of urgency, etc. My mom began having various issues in December with nausea and pain in her stomach/back. She was referred out to a GI who couldn't see her for 2+ months and then cancelled on her at the last minute and Dr. K didn't even know who else to refer her out to, so my mom had to suggest a place and then do more waiting. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago where she found out she has stage 4 metastatic cancer. IT TOOK HER ALMOST 6 MONTHS TO GET AN ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND THAT SHE COULD HAVE ORDERED IN DECEMBER.

I had a recent visit with Dr. KHANDKER . It was very pleased experience. Compare to my last primary care this time was a thousand time better experience. It was good to be treated with knowledge, care and professionalism. When I say the doctor and all the other employee of her office made me feel that I was in safe hands and made me smile when I left. I am truely grateful to Dr. KHANDKER for her vast knowledge in diabetes management , I even feel better than following with my endocrinologist for diabetes management. She took so much time to discuss about the disease process, diet, lifestyle etc. I could not belief that she take her patient problem so personally and try to educate patient so well. I am recommending my friends and family to her.

Dr. Khandaker is the most thorough primary care physician that I ever saw. I had excellent experiences at her office. Several of my friends also started seeing her, and they all talk about how much better they are doing since they started seeing her. She always provides a lot of health education, practical suggestions and encouragement. She goes the extra mile to make sure that her patients get the best care.

All she does is refer out to specialists. She will not prescribe meds. Does your head hurt? You need a referral to a neurologist. Does your foot hurt? You need a referral to a podiatrist. I needed meds refilled (that my previous family doctor filled with no problem) and she is referring me to a specialist. These are not controlled substances. Absolutely ridiculous. My family is changing doctors ASAP.

This doctor is only out to get money. I know my body and what I need most of the time. She wants to do a full work up and I refused as I only wanted to address my issue. So she told me to find a different doctor. If you have a test done, you have to go back to her office to find out the results for more money. I obtained my records, she does not write the truth of what I have told her. Staff is constantly changing. She fires her staff a lot.

My experience started off pleasant with Dr. Khandaker and her office, as long as I came in regularly for visits paid my copays and they were able to bill my insurance. I got an overhaul of check up's done last year (2018) and due to being relatively healthy I do not need to be seen often for items such as chronic migraines. When my pharmacy faxed a request for a refill authorization she denied my request stating I will need to come in and be seen (for something I have been seen for multiple times in the past and nothing would happen except a chance for her office to bill my insurance and a paper prescription given.) Being a military spouse during my time under her care I am not always local and cannot jump up for an office visit over a chronic issue that has been established. I am extremely disappointed with this provider and her front desk staff, the treatment of her patients only amounts to how much the office can bill.

Exceptionally good with diagnoses, preventive care, providing steps for patient improvement and prescription authorizations are timely also.
