Mediocre
He does the required minimum: goes through most required motions and writes prescriptions. Zero stars for bedside manner.

Poor Bedside Manners
My mother was treated by dozens of respectful and kind doctors while at Northwell Hospital in Manhasset over several years but Dr. Zalta was the exception. Whenever we kindly asked Dr. Zalta questions about my mother's health and treatment, he would rudely speak to us as if he couldn't be bothered. We spoke to other hospital staff members including other doctors about Dr. Zalta's behavior and they suggested that we change doctors immediately. I would not recommend Dr. Zalta, his behavior was far from professional.

Rude, sarcastic, arrogant and unprofessional. He did not answer patient questions fully or at all. Ordered necessary cat-scan then did explain results -- probably didn't know how to. He ordered many unnecessary medications. He did not supervise staff. He did not monitor patient's dietary needs. His patient was starving and he did not know it until family said so; and then it still was still not monitored. He violated HYPAA Laws and patients rights. Horrible. He should be fired!

Severely lacks courtesy and professionalism - just because you are a doctor, what makes you think that you can project arrogance and frustration on a patient to the extent that you are verbally harassing and questioning of the intelligence of the patient and his / her family members? Why are you still even allowed to treat patients?
