Excellent for multiple esophageal diverticula!
I've had two advanced EGD procedures to address my thoracic and epiphrenetic diverticula. Dr. Fukami has been excellent at explaining the procedures and providing follow-up care. I am very grateful to have a doctor who perseveres with patients to get the best results possible. I see him for a third procedure in another few months and highly recommend his skill and expertise!

Dr Fukami removed a rare tumor found in the sub muscle layers of my stomach. You can tell he enjoys the work that he does. during my telemed consult he explained in great detail with pictures the procedure he’d be performing. I appreciated his confidence made me feel at ease. Post op he was very caring and seemed genuinely concerned about my health. I was still having some discomfort post op and he he took it seriously I appreciated that. I’m happy to say I recovered well and I would recommend this surgeon to anyone truly a great doctor.

Mr fukami confused me with someone who needed a heart stent, went on to botch a colon polyp removal by slicing my colon, putting clips which fell off, and never had a plan as to how to handle emergencies. I’m alive because of another surgeon who took me into an emergency surgery to repair all the damage caused by mr fukami. The part of my colon damaged by mr fukami had to be cut, because of the spillage into my abdomen I developed infection, my appendix had to be taken out, and my intestines were affected. I have terrible scars. I don’t understand all the good reviews. Unless all the bad ones are taken down.

Dr. Fukami has a really high level of expertise & skill in advance endoscopy area. That was why I got my big colon polyp(6 cm) removed without surgery. He is one of a small number of doctors in the U.S. who can do Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection(EMR). I strongly recommend him to everyone.

Dr. fukami is an excellent doctor. My mother 92 year old has achalasia and was on a tubing tube. Dr. fukami performed POEM and now my mother had her feeding tube remove. She is able to eat everything she wants, and is enjoying a normal life thanks to Dr. fukami. In fact she is looking forward to celebrating 70 year of marriage with my dad. In addition, Dr. fukami is a kind and caring person. We are lucky to have Dr. Fukami as the doctor.
