Not a good experience with this doctor. We did not feel respected and made us feel like our questions were stupid question. Yet, he sent a bill for 323, which we feel he does not deserve. I would say stay away from Billings Clinic, period. We saw another doctor and literally they have you wait in the room for 30 minutes before they come see you.

Excellent Orthopedic physician for youth athletes
My son had sustained an injury in practice and we were not sure how bad the injury was but knew we needed an expert opinion to rule out bone breaks, or ligament tears. I took him to see Dr Marks, he took X-ray's, and spent dedicated and engaged time with us in the clinic reviewing the injury. Dr Marks was amazing! He provided a series of safe and effective options from sitting out for a few weeks, physical therapy to help speed the recovery, or that his team could mold a sports specific split to brace the joint and bones and continue to play. I really appreciated the time he took to talk about risk benefit to these options and put us in a position to be engaged with the decision. Dr Marks almost two decade of experience with sports injuries and how he was able to communicate really helped transform my son's fears and worries into confidence.

Remarkable Shoulder Surgeon!
Dr. Marks did an outstanding job on repairing my shoulder. With 3 full thickness rotator cuff tears, multiple ligament tears, a biceps tear, and a litany of other problems in my shoulder, sustained after a skiing accident, I thought I was going to need a reverse total shoulder (not interested as a middle aged man). To me it seemed unlikely to be a success and I was skeptical that my shoulder could even be repaired, especially, after waiting 8 months to decide to have surgery. I am so grateful for his knowledge, his skill level, and the excellent staff he works with. I highly recommend Dr. Marks if you are in need of surgery!

Dismissive and Rude
I am referred from the VA for ongoing knee issues (have had prior surgery). After finally getting my community care I saw Dr. Marks for a consult. He was very rude and dismissive, didn't even say hi or introduce himself, was dismissive of my issues and interrupted me answering questions he asked. I was so uncomfortable that when I went to scheduler I asked them to not schedule me with him as I am not comfortable with that person being my provider or potential surgeon. He may have been having a bad day and busy, which he immediately told me when he walked in - that he was very busy and didn't have time. But this is my body and my quality of life. I am now going to see a different provider thankfully.

I saw Dr marks a few times for left shoulder pain. He prescribed physical therapy and cortisone injections first which is fine. However when that didn't work, and actually got worse due to increased physical activity at work, he accused me of not doing my physical therapy, and told me that there was nothing wrong with my shoulder. Even though after my MRI he had told me that I had a lot of arthritis for my age.
