Dr. Nkemdilim Nwosa, MD

I recently had experience with Dr. Nwosa for emergency surgery. I could not have asked for a better doctor. She was incredibly caring and took the time to answer all of my questions. Her compassion and patience provided great comfort to me and my family during a difficult time.

Dr. Nkemdilim Nwosa. When I say she prob spent MAYBE 2 min in the room, that might have been too long. She rushed in the room, made no eye contact. Went over the questions I had reviewed with the prior nurse. Has no consideration to even asking if it was ok to discuss my medical history while there was a visitor. After CLEARY communicating and documenting (TWICE) that I wanted my medical history private, she immediately broke HIPPA the second she walked in. She maybe asked me 2-3 questions which I wasn’t even able to fully answer. She ordered an ultrasound and rushed out. Never once assessed me. NOTHING.I am a nurse and this is how I felt. I am more understanding because I know how things work. I am way more patient than probably someone who isn’t a nurse, but this is unacceptable. I can’t imagine someone having the same amount of pain, just dropped off and not being cared for or being checked on. This is why patients leave bad reviews and being on the other side, terrible treatment

Terrible bedside manner. My pregnant wife and I came in to see if she had progressed to active labor, only to be treated so rudely by Dr. Nwosa in Kendall Baptist Hospital. She discredited my wife’s pain, spoke down to her about how dilated she was, and seemed to be in a general rush even though it was later in the night and there was only one other patient besides us. My wife was in tears after going through the pains of regular contractions only to find out that much hadn’t progressed as much as we thought and on top of that Dr. Nwosa arrogantly dismissed her pain as if it wasn’t real. Instead of taking the opportunity to educate first time parents who have obviously never been through this, she was patronizing to the point of making my wife feel dumb for not knowing how to navigate her FIRST pregnancy. Spoke to her supervisor to learn that this wasn’t the first complaint against her. Unsurprising. Find yourself an OBGYN that knows the meaning of sensitivity.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Nwosa and her staff to family and friends. She is kind, caring and spent a lot of time to make sure I understood what she was doing, why and how to solve my issues.
