Dr Ramzan has been my doctor for many years now. He is worthy of a five star rating for the manner in which he treats he’s patients. From the first office visit to more complex medical issues, he’s been attentive, caring, through, knowledgeable and compassionate. Thank you Dr Ramzen.

Extremely poor care
I'm very upset. The lack of communication and follow up is horrible. I've left several messages. I'm suffering. Nothing. The doctor didn't read the PA's notes, told me I didn't need to take the medication she recommended and I suffered for a month. I'm nearly bedridden. She made light of it all. The medication is making me sick. I really need talk to someone. I'm looking for another doctor. This is unconscionable. No one cares about you.

Well Taken Care of
I have been seeing Dr Ramzin for several decades and have found him to be a consistently: capable, professional, and compassionate doctor. I have never had any issues with billing or the office staff. The people in his office are great and very friendly and accommodating.

Overall care by Dr Ramzan and staff.
Front desk personnel provided phone numbers for after procedure medical transportation. Medical staff were sensitive to my RA pain before/after procedures. Dr Ranzam, RN Anesthesiologist, and tech were informative of procedures and findings. Excellent experience!

They are amazing!
Dr. Ramzan is an amazing doctor, but I want to take this moment to thank his back office staff Marisela and Alayza, as well as PA-C Lina Kay for their amazing kindness, empathy, and flexibility around my recent healthcare needs. Never have I seen such healthcare professionals go to the lengths they have to help me with my concerns. If you ever have reason to retain the services of a GI doctor, know that this office cares about you as a person, and these individuals will be there for you if you need them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Ramzan changed my life.
Telehealth
Dr. Ramzan is so patient and caring. He did testing to identify my illness and has worked with me to find the right treatment plan. I am finally regaining my life as I start to feel better. He gives me the choice for follow up appointments in office or telehealth depending on my schedule. I never feel rushed and he is always available to answer my questions. Marcella, his MA is so helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr Ramzan and his staff.

Very professional and competent
Dr. Ramzan has been my gastroenterologist for about 15 years. During that time he has provided both periodic routine procedures as well as curative services. I have recommended to him to friends and relatives, and all of us have been very pleased with his services and expertise.

Best doctor of anyone I’ve seen in PHOENIX AREA,
Years ago,I initially went to Dr Ramzan with symptoms where I was running to the restroom repeatedly, VERY disruptive in maintaining a busy lifestyle& traveling frequently for work., He was recommended to me highly which I learned was well deserved. After diagnosing me with active ulcerative colitis,he prescribed medicine that stabilized my system so I was able to eventually come off meds . I had one reoccurrence the year following and have been in remission over 8 years . He is great at diagnosing so when I’ve had diverticulitis it is resolved promptly. . Although I have been a patient of Mayo clinic about which I have not much positive to relate, I would never change over to any OTHER GI specialists there when I am fortunate to have Dr Ramzan. As others have said, it is unfortunate that his office staff when calling in is not as responsive or professional.

They will lie to get money
I had a routine colonoscopy check July of 2021. There was an initial screening of why I was getting a colonoscopy. It was recommended as a routine check since I was 49 at the time. They asked me if I have had any other pain. I told them I have had a couple stomach cramps. That’s it. Based on our initial conversation they decided to perform a procedure I did not agree to costing me over $800. I refused to pay it since it wasn’t necessary. It is still in collection today and has damaged my credit. I have filled their office several times and it just goes to vm and they have never called me back. My credit was over 810 and because of this it is below 800. They want you to just “pay the bills” without any discussions.

Doctor is Great, STAFF Incompetent!
Dr Ramzan is a caring and competent DOCTOR, however in his ability to hire Office staff is not Competent! No call backs, No answering calls, No information, Billing is marginally, quazi competent (if you don't mind overbilling). Doc is Great, Staff SUCKS!! Go someplace else! Maybe loss of revenue will get him to change his staff!

Shady business practices, billing nightmares, avoid this place at all costs (because the costs of going will be much higher). Lies about what is in-network vs what isn't. Sending bills that don't match the claims. Literally never even calling back with results? Yeah that one sucks. For six months. I'm still trying to work out all the billing issues. The anesthesia was billed out of network after being told it would be billed in-network. Same for the facility -- oh well the DOCTOR is in-network, but his building isn't. Sorry buddy, that will be an extra grand. Have fun trying to get ahold of them by the way, I spent the week prior trying to get ahold of anyone. This business should not even be legally allowed to operate at this point. This doctor should not be certified to do anything. This facility is a factory designed to squeeze as much cash out of patients and insurance companies as possible with little to no actual help for patients.

I really like Dr. Ramzan and would recommend him, but the office staff is terrible. You can never get ahold of anyone at the office. They do not provide an email to communicate with them. They do not have any My Chart system. I had to call the other doctor's side of the office to have them try and get someone to call me back, just to schedule an appointment for a needed procedure. After this procedure, I had questions and it was impossible to get a call back. Tried for 5 days to call. When I finally got a call to confirm my next appt, the woman was very rude. I believe her name was Karen. I would recommend the doctor, but he needs to get all new staff. I have never had an experience like this where you just could not get a hold of anyone.

Happy Client – Dec 23, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ramzan?
I am writing a negative review of Dr. Ramzan because he's overcharged me and his office is unresponsive to my repeated inquiries. I had a 10 MINUTE TELECONFERENCE with him over the computer in May, and I was billed $369 - using an incorrect procedure code that is normally used for an in-depth office visit (CPT 99244) There was no follow-up or anything, just this one computer video call. After repeated calls & letters over the past few months, there has been zero acknowledgment of the incorrect procedure code. I have taken this up with my insurance company which may result in an external independent review.
