Dr. Nivia Vazquez, MD

My granddaughter was in her care for 8 years but out of the blue(w/out notice( bcuz I can't recieve her voice mail) Alexi was dropped. Nivia is only doctor who can order her INHALERS at this time,until No. 1st. Alexi will NEED them beforehand.

Vasquez is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. In your first appointment, they do absolutely nothing, no check up whatsoever. They say it's just to "meet your kids" and the real checkup is the 2nd time you go. This is obviously to charge the insurance twice.My son has a severe shellfish allergy. In order for him to see a specialist my insurance requires for the primary doctor to give a refferel. I asked Dr. Vasquez for a referel and she said it was not necessary that she could treat this in her office. I told her I prefer to take him to a specialist because his allergies are severe and he ended up at the hospital once. She got so offended by this and told me to find a NEW doctor! Also, she is never in the office so while I'm in her office I had to communicate with her over the phone and not even directly with her. I was speaking to her assistant over the phone and then she would put me on hold, speak with Vasquez and return to tell me what she said. Worse Doctor!!!

ALL MY FRIENDS AT WORK BRING THEIR KIDS HERE. SO WE WENT AND ITS A SUPER CUTE OFFICE AND LOTS OF UP TO DATE TECHNOLOGY. IN AND OUT VIBE AND FRESH OPEN ROOMS NOT CLOSED IN CONFINED FEEL. WE WAITED A LITTLE BIT, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. LOTS OF DISTRACTIONS AROUND AND THE DR. EVEN CALLED ME AT 4AM TO CHECK ON MY KID WHO WAS SICK. I CAN TELL THEY CARE. FROM HER CELL PHONE SHE CALL ME!

20 STARS IF I COULD! No matter what other reviews say, our family loves Portofino Pediatrics and the Doctora Vazquez. We foster kids who have been badly abused or mistreated. We house sometimes 6 or more kids and we bring all of them here. The medical care and personal connection is very special and we love that. The kids connect and trust them. If there is ever a wait, we know its for a real reason and understan. We are so grateful for this office. They get the BEST referrals for us and spend quality time with us.

WORST doctors office I've ever seen, Dr.Vazquez SUCKS. No sense of urgency with anything. Wait times are terrible, the staff are rude with disgusting attitude. Dr.Vazquez provides her phone number for "emergencies and faster replies" she doesn't even show up in the office nor answer the phone. We told her we are switching doctors because of her lax attitude and she discharged us immediately our baby was not able to be seen at the pediatric surgery. STAY FAR AWAY from this office and that Dr.Vazquez

Needed papers for my 5 kids for school. I waited the fair amount of time for them to fill them out and the girl at the front, I think her name is Suzy called me alot to keep me posted. I really appreciated that, I felt like I knew what was going on and it helped for me not to feel forgotten.

Staff nice, office very clean. No Pediatric Doc always available after hours like this one. Dr. Vazquez is very caring and treats her patients like family. I have referred all my co-workers to this office. LOVE THIS OFFICE THE BEST!!!

Long waits. No updates. Terrible service. Changing doctors ASAP

BEWARE! If you want your child to be misdiagnosed and sick for months, then this is the place for you! My child was sick for 8 months with same treatment plan, and not one doctor or nurse practitioner changed anything! To make matters worse, Dr. Vasquez told me it was my families fault for my sick child not getting any better! I took my sick child somewhere else and she was immediately diagnosed properly and 99% better within a week and not on any medication like before. BEWARE!

The wait time is no less than two hours on every occasion no matter what the circumstances are. There is a PA there who is very unprofessional. Be prepared to spend your whole day at the doctors office. The mid levels and physicians are Always changing, so there is no continuity of care for your child.

Over the pass 10 yrs. unfortunately the quality of service at this office has decreased dramatically. Frequently over schedule appointments causing patients to wait up to 2 hrs before being seen. Several staff members but they are Discombobulated & poor communication between doctor & staff. Wrong prescription was written & sent to pharmacist for my child (Malpractice & Unprofessional). Phone calls & Message not returned in a timely manner, too big & not reliable, keep looking somewhere else.

Wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Beautiful, state of the art office. Dr. Vazquez, Dr. Ferguson, and both NP's are exceptional. Feel like family. You can't find a better pediatric group in Homestead.

Very disappointed. Cares more about profit than kids.
