5 year patient. These days with telehealth docs can take on so many patients and that may cause important details to fall through the cracks. My advice - Ask for all medications prescriptions to be emailed to you in addition to any and all notes that she may be taking during your sessions. Any referrals. Anything. Get it in writing and have a copy. I respected her. Nivea was kind, empathetic, it seem like she truly understood and was trying to help. She recently began dropping the ball on a program I had applied and reminded her about, a surgery that i was having, a break after the surgery in addition to mental health testing. Maybe she was going through something, but rather than being transparent she used my diagnosis against me for the first time in almost five years. When I questioned her methodology, she ended our relationship and cancelled our sessions. I’m not saying don’t see her, just get it all in writing

She has been treating a family for many months now. She keeps prescribing different medications and he’s only gotten worse since starting to see her. I’m sure she’s lovely to chat with but, she is not equipped to handle someone with mental illness and substance abuse. She needs to tell him to seek help elsewhere.

An outstanding psychiatrist (and I've seen a lot). Dr Calico is warm, caring, has an easy manner and a light sense of humor. She always explains her thinking and invites, and welcomes, participation. I always have the belief that she genuinely cares about my mental well-being. I cannot recommend her more highly.
