Amazing therapist!
I have been with Dr. Shah for many years and was lucky enough to have found a great therapist without having to shop around. I came to her in a crisis and she has consistently been there for me more times than I can count. Dr. Shah tells it how it is - no sugar coating, and while that approach doesn't work for everyone, it has helped me face my own realities and work towards healthier goals.

Better than most
She is clearly a well-informed psychiatrist, who treated me with respect for my intelligence and opinion. I felt she was responsive to my needs specifically and wasn't interested in diagnosing me but actually more interested in helping me. She's 'old-fashioned' in how responsive she is to phone calls and messages. It could be the end of the day for her but she gets back no matter what.

She is a “Shrink Next Door” kind of a therapist. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I’m not sure how someone with so many issues chooses to become a therapist rather then to go see one themselves. I guess it must be easier on the ego to play doctor, hear about the problems of others and then exploit them for your own validation. I pray that God protects her patients from her narcissism and instability.
