Dr. Patel is a warm and very caring physician. She was my doctor for many years. I had to relocate so i had no choice but to find a doctor closer she was too far from my present home. I find it necessary to make the extra trip back to dr. Patel. my present phycian shows little interest understanding my current condition. It is worth the long drive back to Geneva from Dekalb.

I’ve seen Dr Patel for four years now and she is the most kindest, caring and listening doctor I’ve ever had and I have moved quite frequently even to Texas and when I came back and found her, she is just the best

Excellent doctor and staff!
Dr. Patel is the most thorough doctor I've ever been to. She listens to all my concerns and never makes me feel rushed. When I've needed a referral from her, she works hard to find the best specialist for my needs. The last time I got a referral from her, her office manager, Tracie, made calls on my behalf to the specialist's office and to my insurance company to ensure that the referral was entered into MyChart properly. I have never received that kind of service from a doctor's office before!

Nice but lacking on follow up and follow through
Office is rather unprofessional. Arrived for an appointment and the receptionist loudly repeated what I was in for and then said 'that's not good!~'. Everyone in the lobby could hear her. There is no patient portal, so all results have to be delivered by the loud receptionist over the phone. I had a serious medical issue that the doctor had been treating and when I called for a question on how to proceed with medication given significant side effects, my call was never returned. I called twice. Never returned. For this same medical issue, I needed a refill before I went out of town. I told the office this, and asked that it be sent to the pharmacy before I left. They did not call it in. Twice I paid my bill online and both times I was told they didn't receive my payment. Then later found it, but not until after I insisted they should have it. Poorly run and the important issues are not addressed in a timely manner. Pretty good for physicals and B12 shots.

No empathy
Very bad experience here. I was released by oncologist to don’t gp and get labs done. I scheduled my appointment she seemed nice got my labs done. I called on Monday to find out what my labs are and the nurse went over then with me. Alarming high cholesterol high bad cholesterol. Vitamin d and b12 very low. She said doctor willCall back .no call I called back Tuesday nurse again said she will leave message. Called Wednesday and Thursday no call I had to keep calling. She finally called back with an attitude on Friday telling me she was dealing with emergency patients on Monday and couldn’t not call and she’s so busy. I don’t know why she couldn’t call the rest of the week. She’s fired not worth my time no one is too busy to call back a patient. I need a doctor more compassionate and empathetic. She was rude when she called back. They shouldHave some type of my chart to look at instead dealing with terrible doctors if they don’t have time to call a aPatient back

I am done with this office. I don’t have time to be chasing down doctor I’m nervous worried about my results and I’m shocked with this Treatment. My friends spoke So so highly I wish I could say the same. I will be finding a new physician asap.. I need a doctor more attentive after being released from Oncologist. SoMad.. Terrible doctor!
My husband couldn’t breathe because we later found out he had pneumonia. Prior to us finding out that he had pneumonia, while at her office I asked if he could have a nebulizer treatment so he could breathe

I’ve been a patient of Dr Patel since February. She is an excellent physician unfortunately her staff is terrible. Since the one visit I’ve had her staff has lost test results, forgotten to call me back three times, called to schedule 2 month, 3 month and 4 month follow up appointments, when I ask what the appointments are for they say “I’ll call back” and never do. Finally today they called to schedule another appointment I informed them that I had switched doctors and wouldn’t be following with their office. Big surprise they called back to tell me about an imaginary outstanding bill that I had never heard of, been billed for, or contacted about until today. When I asked what it was for the receptionist responded with “I don’t know I didn’t see it before I just looked at your chart after I called.”

There is no problem recommending Dr Patel, she’s very competent but not her staff. I wish had read other reviews before returning to her practice with insurance change. She’s great, but her nurse injured me. She dodged a metaphorical bullet by having me sign a document saying I wouldn’t revisit any legal actions toward her after receiving restitution of med bills for my dr appts that resulted from the nurses negligence. Recurring injury site issues are my own to deal with now. Went in for annual preventive care was found perfectly healthy by all tests, and left injured by nurse. Be wary of the staff.

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Patel and her staff. She is very thorough in assessing current physical conditions and medical history. As a retired RN, I appreciate the value of her attention to details. She is caring and brilliant, and her gentle manner eases any anxiety about visiting a physician. Her nurse, Sidney, called with lab results, and went over each value with a thorough, knowledgeable explanation. I am so happy to have found this practice!

Dr. Patel is one of a kind M.D. She takes time to listen & assess your health issues. She is never rushed, she is a caring & compassionate healthcare provider. These are the attributes that she excels from, very knowledgeable in her field. She is a Patient First person overall. Her staff is also supportive & excellent with calling back lab results & follow-ups. I'm very impressed & glad I found a great doctor like her.

Visiting this Drs. office was a complete nightmare for me. I came to her as a new patient with existing cardiac, neurological, and anxiety issues and the treatment I received from her office manager Bianca and then finally the Dr. Sent me into a complete tailspin. I was even scolded up and down for not understanding how to navigate the My Chart system! If you have enough stressors in your life already and you aren't feeling well already, then I would strongly advise you to pass on visiting.
