Goes all Out for patients!
Dr. Nina went all out for me at her previous location staying late to do a fine needle biopsy. She takes sincere interest in her patients. She is very competent and keeps current.

Worth the travel time to go to Dr. Sundaram
Dr. Sundaram saved my life after I had my thyroid and parathyroid glands removed. I had gone to 3 endos before finding her and was very sick. I had no feeling in my face, hands, or feet and had severe brain fog when I went to her. She changed up my meds and within a month I started to feel better. She looks at me as a whole patient, not just my lab results. I moved 7 hours away and couldn't find a new endo that listened to me so I decided to go back to Dr. Sundaram. I am so happy I did! She adjusted my meds from my local endo and I'm already feeling so much better. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have an endo who actually asks how you are feeling! I had a bit of a wait time to get into see her but it was so worth it.

unprofessional and not worth your time
there are a lot of things wrong. the office staff is unprofessional, especially Miguel. the doctor is ok but nothing special and not worth the negligence one has to endure with the office staff. Best to find another endocrinologist.

I had the worst doctor office experience ever with Aura Endocrinology. I moved recently from Seattle to NYC and was looking for a new endocrinologist. Based on the doctor rating, I chose to engage with Aura Endocrinology despite the negative office reviews. I called the office and was told that I would need to set up the patient portal before they gave me an appointment. I did that and they said they would call me to set up an appointment. I waited and when I didn't hear back, I called them. They then said I would need a referral to proceed. I was annoyed they didn't tell me that during the first call and a week had gone by. Still I continued to follow up and got a referral sent to them. I still didn't hear back from them so I called again. They claimed they did not see the referral. I went back and forth a couple times and then tried to make an appointment request in the portal. After 3 weeks, I finally get a call back only to be told that I first need to set up the patient portal. Frustrated, I let the man on the phone named Miguel know that I have already set up the patient portal, confirmed the referral was sent and now needed an appointment since my medicine would run out and the Seattle doctor could no longer refill without seeing me. Miguel then tells me that the first appointment he has would be in February. I am now frustrated as I have wasted three weeks with this practice and from the beginning I made clear that I would need to have the doctor see me so I can continue my medication as I didn't have any more refills. Miguel then tells me I can request a refill in the patient portal. I remind him I am a new patient and question whether I can get a refill for a prescription this doctor has never prescribed me. He then proceeds to explain to me in detail that since I am a new patient, I cannot ask for a refill and starts to define what a "refill" is. Frustrated, I interrupted him to let him know that I know that and therefore need to see the doctor before February. He then rudely tells me he will hang up the call if i ever interrupt him again. Miguel is an absolutely awful person to speak to since he has this high pitch tone that sounds like he is being pleasant but his words and actions are ridiculous and rude. I hope the doctor knows that he is not helping her practice and in fact lost her two patients (me and my wife). I hope Miguel only interacts with people who treat him the way he treated me.

I strongly recommend Dr. Sundaram, and her entire team at Aura endocrinology. As a person who has suffered with hypothyroid thyroidism for almost all my life, Dr. Sundaram is the first doctor and team that has taken the time to really dive deep into how best to help me, treating me not just like a patient but as a person who matters. Dr. Sundaram’s & staff are always willing to go extra mile , to do whatever it takes to provide me the absolute best care. I can honestly say that Dr. Sundaram, Eliza, and the rest of the team are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. Better still, Aura is a modern practice, staying on top of the latest trends for women’s health issues and taking a true holistic approach to health. I am so lucky to have Dr. Sundaram as my endocrinologist and I will follow her wherever she goes! Thanks to the whole team for taking such good care of me. I know I am in great hands at Aura endocrinology. -Josie Feliz

I have been seeing Dr. Sundaram for years and she is my favorite provider. She is knowledgeable, thorough, caring and compassionate. She was also able to accommodate me with a virtual visit because I was on quarantine and unable to go to the office.

After years of going to different endocrinologists who couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, I was lucky enough to have found Dr. Sundaram. She took the time to understand me and my medical history and was able to diagnose/treat me for my hormone issues. Her level of knowledge and compassion are unlike any other doctor I've experienced. There are also no words to express my gratitude for her - she was able to help me feel normal/like myself again after years of struggle. There's truly no better doctor, so I highly recommend her!

I absolutely love my Dr Sundaram , she has a way to diffuse the sometime intimidation that Dr/patient can bring , she understand so well how to work with her patient and will make you take ownership of your own diabetes , she also know how much pleasure and comfort an ice cream can mean in the middle of pandemic, Dr Sundaram find the key word that resonate for me "find a motivator" I though of it and found it, I highly recommend Dr Sundaram.

Dr. Sundaram is a compassionate, caring and extremely accessible doctor. It is rare to find a doctor who truly cares the way she does. I consider myself very lucky to have been referred to her by my internist. She is one of a kind.

Been with Dr Sundaram over 2 years now. She is fun and energetic personality so I need a coffee before seeing her (LOL). She revamped my diabetes 2 regimen with Trulicity and later Ozempic and made amazing improvements and helped me tremendously troubleshooting side effects with my other doctors. Also helped with deciphering my real values with my genetic anemia.

I've seen Dr. Sundaram for a few years now. I agree wholeheartedly with the difficulty of getting a hold of the front desk staff. However, if you use the patient portal, it alleviates most of those issues. Before the patient portal, I also contemplated seeing a different doctor, however, this seems to be the case with all doctor's offices in NYC except One Medical. Secondly, her care is generally quite good and agree that she's attentive. However, every time I see her, it's like she just had 5 cups of coffee. I find her energy to be a bit overwhelming and feel like I'm getting a verbal barrage. But, bottomline, the quality of her medical care has been generally positive, so I don't plan on changing medical providers despite the front office issues and her intense communications style.

I absolutely loved having Dr. Sundaram as my endocrinologist. She is very smart but also one of the most down to earth doctors you will ever meet. Unlike with most other doctors, I have never felt rushed or that I was taking up too much of her time. She will take the time to listen to all of your concerns, explain everything until you understand it, and will work to come up with a treatment plan that you feel comfortable with. She is also on top of everything and very quick to respond to emails. She is super personable as well, which is not a requirement for a doctor but is definitely a welcome and refreshing bonus! Would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!!
