Dr. Kolbe is Unfortunately a Scammer
Dr. Nina Kolbe is a Scammer. I was at Trinity Health Oakland Hospital for 6 days, this Dr. was not my Dr. she came into my room scanned my wrist band and asked how I was feeling at 5AM was in the room 35 seconds and billed my insurance company $400.00 and expects me to pay $199.45. She was not authorized to do rounds on me by my surgeon and also did nothing and wants to be paid. I have filed a dispute with my insurance company against this practice.

Competent surgeon, not so good with after care.
Dr. Kolbe is a very attentive surgeon. Takes the time to talk with you as a patient. Her surgery techniques are quite good. Unfortunately if something goes wrong post surgery, Dr. Kolbe stumbles and is not great at diagnosing issues that arise as a result of the surgery she's performed.

Dr. Kolby seemed like a good surgeon, but after my sisters surgery she completely dropped the ball with after care. She acted as if we were a nuisance, when we had desperate needs. I wouldn’t recommend, as I feel my sisters healing process has been a nightmare, and I know others with the same surgery who are doing wonderful. 6 months later, my poor sister is still struggling and in the hospital as we speak, due to the same complications.

Outstanding surgeon and person! Dr. Kolbe did my thyroid surgery and did a great job! She is very caring and honest! I was very blessed having her as my surgeon.

I had a surgical consult with Dr. Kolbe for potentially getting my gallbladder out. While she was able to get me in quickly for the consult and she listens to my problem, she failed to address the issue or provide any reasonable alternative to surgery. Her knowkedge also seems A bit lacking considering she didn’t understand new terms like Hyperkinesia, etc. I would not recommend this surgeon primarily because of her lack of experience and confidence.

Dr. Kolbe was both pleasant and knowledgeable. She consulted with us for over 30 minutes explaining my husbands gallbladder diagnosis and available treatments. She answered our questions honestly so we were able to determine the best course of treatment for him. She is a fantastic surgeon. We highly recommend her.
