Continuation
Continuation from last post.Anyways when I saw her for the final time she saw my referral to a new rheum and questioned me about it and I told her “I’m in agony. I’ve waited 4 months to see you. You cancelled twice last minute. “ I didn’t even bring up how she treated me horribly. She said “I’m allowed to have a life outside of work”.. and then when discussing treatment she got very annoyed with me and started getting snappy so I told her “why are you always so defensive and snappy? You literally told me I could have herpes rather than believe my diagnosis. You dismiss me all the time.” She got so mad she stormed out of the office and refused to treat me. Good riddance.

I really like Dr. Nikita Patel! She did her fellowship with my doctor at USC, and he says she was his favorite fellow. She listens, is calm, isn't defensice, is thorough with her questions and examinations and appears to have good instincts. Her staff are nice too. I'm happy with her!

Difficult
As a caregiver 20 plus years I can not remember a more difficult first appointment for any client than with this young doctor. Perhaps she was having a bad day? Sorry to say I saw very little indication she likes or wants to be the Rheumatologist. She was very upset two appointments were canceled due to rain and illness. Better days ahead?
