thorough, educational, compassionate & kind
I went to Dr. Reams after having mediocre experiences with another health system's neurologists in the ED, in the hospital, and in follow-up. In just the first visit, Dr. Reams taught me more about my condition than the attendings and residents in all my previous visits combined. Her assessment was thorough and she took my self-reported symptoms seriously. Her kindness was palpable, as she understood that my main problem is not my symptoms but how my symptoms are affecting my life. She saw me as a person and helped me understand my prognosis and what options I had for treatment, for increasing activity levels, and for returning to work. Would recommend her to anyone trying to proactively manage their post-concussion symptoms.

After I read all the reviews, I thought I would be in good hands, I bet she is a precise doctor, but this did not happen to me. I felt, very cynical vibe throughout the whole appointment. Without getting a full history the doctor thinks it is ok to call on my diagnosis, she did not read through all my history, herself stated it is way too much to go through. Bluntly took my approximate numbers of session or what I remember, I tried to give details and doctor was not interested to clarify if she did not see the whole picture, after reading her interpretation, I was in shock. She is not able to clearly understand or want what the patient wants to say, and her own perceptions are wrong. The doctor made her own assumptions, even did not discuss what, where and so, most awkward question was “how much was to fix a car”, that threw me off. What does this have to do with my diagnoses? For some reason she did not add that in her notes, interesting why not …Noted 45min, which took 35min.

I have been seeing Dr. Reams since a mTBI I had in 2019. She has always been adamant on finding a treatment plan that best resolves my residual migraines and concentration issues. She listens attentively and provides good advice/treatment. She is one of the only doctors I have had that truly cares about me as a patient, and she never disregards my feelings or symptoms. She is a fantastic doctor, and I am so glad to be under her care.

Had an MRI of the brain and saw Dr. Reams for a consultation. She was amazing. She spent a lot of time with the exam and then explaining results and options for improvement. Would definitely recommend her. Excellent!

My husband was admitted to Glenbrook Hospital for a seizure, related to a medication reaction. She came up with a conclusion within 5 minutes of talking to him which was a wrong diagnosis. didn't even look at his test results. Im not even going to call her a doctor. Nicole Ream should be banned from practicing medicine its very scary to have a person like that treating patients.

On October 15, 2018 was my first visit with Dr. Reams. She seem nice in the beginning, but she rushed me and didn't let me finish what I had to say. Not the best experience.

The first visit was ok. The second visit she wasn't as concerned and/or caring. The third visit was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. She was short, rude, didn't listen or give me a proper evaluation. I will NEVER go back to her.

In August 2017 I first met with Dr. Reams for headaches and other physical symptoms that I had been experiencing since a bicycle accident in June. I also met with her about two weeks later just before my brain surgery for a subdural hematoma. She misdiagnosed me on both occasions. She also made it clear that she was unavailable to see me when I was seriously struggling. I consider myself fortunate to still be alive and well today, although no thanks to her. Very disappointing.
