Dr. Nicole Carroll, MD

I was put on Dr. Carroll’s schedule for my first ever gynecologist appointment and had an awful experience that left me feeling very uncomfortable. She rushed through my appointment, was not friendly, and completely dismissed all of my concerns, barely even acknowledging them and brushing them off. I have been suffering with very debilitating symptoms and was hoping that she would give me some insight and provide some solutions to make me comfortable but didn’t, just brushed off my concerns as “dermatitis” and “irritation”. Not only was she not friendly, her office staff was also not friendly nor welcoming. Overall, I had a horrible experience with her and her staff. I was hoping that she and her staff would be warm, welcoming, and comforting, especially for such a vulnerable field of medicine, but was very uncomfortable and disappointed when they were not. I will not be going back and don’t recommend her or her office at all.

Michele, one of the medical secretaries for Wilmington Health OBGYN, is absolutely amazing. She has always gone above and beyond for me every time we have spoken. She will make sure information is sent, even if that means staying after her set work hours to get it in. She genuinely cares about Wilmington Health OBGYN patients and they are lucky to have her on their team.

Saw Dr Carroll for routine physical. She made a point of introducing herself and shaking my hand, which I thought was refreshing--most doctors introduce themselves, but few take the time to shake hands. Perhaps she was trying to improve in light of June 2017 negative review that labeled her "cold and distant" to the point that patient claimed she would not allow this doctor to deliver her baby. I found her very professional and somewhat clinical, but certainly neither cold nor distant.

Dr Carroll is v knowledgable but cold and distant. She doesn't interact well in the room and isn't great at establishing a connection. We'd talked about inducing vs not inducing at 40 wks, so I asked her for some literature about that specifically. She instead printed out a study of everything that can go wrong before/during delivery, highlighting the sections that most pertain to me based on my demographic. More info is always good, but if I see this woman in my delivery room, I'm walking out
