Not respectful of appointment times.
Under the doctors care for a couple years. On more than one occasion I waited for over an hour past my appt. time to see the doctor. I probably spent more time waiting for the doctor than time with the doctor, while under care. Prescribed a medication that caused extreme memory loss and distress. I felt gaslit when I told her what was happening with my brain and she said I still needed to take it. She's extremely nice and thorough but I would never see her again or recommend her to anyone I like.

Gaslights dosn’t listen 2 faced
When I established care we talked about my health goals and I specifically asked if she was familiar with my condition and ok continuing my therapies because I was in the process of figuring out why I can’t stay hydrated with my neurologist. She said she had no problem renewing it until my neurologist had answers. He was not in favor with iv hydration but until we could figure something out it was that or go into hypovolemic shock and end up in emergency. I have been having to have infusions since 2008 but now need them weekly to stay functional and alive. My neurologist books out 6 -9months so it takes a long time to get better answers. Dr Berlus cut off my therapy after telling me she didn’t know how to put in the order, refused help from the infusion nurses and put me in the emergency room 3 times due to hypervolemic shock before my GI dr stepped up and renewed my infusions. She lied about what other drs recommended and could have killed me with her pride and arrogance.

Fantastic doctor
She really cares about her patients. My mother sees her but I just found out she’s leaving her practice and will gladly follow her wherever she decides a to go since she’s so compassionate about her patients.

Dr. Berlus came to Willimantic to replace Dr. Killgannon who was wonderful; when Dr. Berlus came I thought I would get the same kind of care but I found that she is not reliable; she came and stayed only a few months and left without leaving a way for her patients to get their prescriptions refills; and no advice at how to go about getting our prescriptions. I would not recommend Dr. Berlus to anyone; when we sign up with a doctor we hope he or she will be there more than a couple of months.

Recently moved back from California and was looking for a new PCP. On my first visit with Dr. Berlus I was impressed. She is thorough, articulate, kind and compassionate, and makes the patient feel at ease. I needed to have new blood tests to check levels for my medicine, and she explained each test and what she was looking for. She recommends but does not push when it comes to diet/exercise. I will definitely recomment her to others.
