Dr. Nicholas Watkins, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Watkins for about 15 years. He is an attentive listener and knowledgeable with a clear and direct communication style. He also has a great sense of humor and helps those of us dealing with a bit of 'White Coat Syndrome' have a more relaxing experience.

If you want a doctor who is to the point and gets it right the first time... this is your guy!

I have been a patient since 1995/96. I originally lived in the Hilliard area when I became his patient. I subsequently moved to eastern Delaware County about 18 months later and never shopped for a new PCP. I am so satisfied with my care it's worth the extra drive to remain his patient. Be advised however that Dr Watkins is somewhat old school. For example, if you want a Doc that will simply prescribe/renew meds over the phone - look elsewhere. In almost all cases he wants eyes-on. I like that, but others may not. I highly recommend Dr Watkins.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Nicolas Watkins for almost 18 years and he has been a fantastic physician for me. I actually look forward to seeing him because he is personable and keeps the mood light with humor. He has successfully treated my conditions and referred me to top of the line specialists when needed. Dr. Watkins is world class in my book and I am very thankful to have him treat me.

One of the best doctors I’ve ever had. He’s very proactive, caring, and personable. He has treated a variety of illnesses over my lifetime and has referred me to great specialist when needed.

Been a patient for awhile, and normally hate going to the doctors office, but find Dr Watkins very friendly and the staff is great! Wish I could say the same for my insurance.

Dr Watkins on leap road at Hilliard Family Medicine has been extremely helpful throughout the years that He has been my physician. He cares about what you have to say, he tries to keep the mood light by cracking a few jokes, and ultimately tries to address the root of whatever the problem. He has been able to identify the cause of certain health issues that multiple other doctors have not been able to. Highly recommended!

He is fine if your not in pain but he is scared/refuses to prescribe effective pain medication. I don't want to take 1800mg-2400mg of ibuprofen a day(I will need my liver later in life).

Absolutely recommend him! Wow -- when I read some of the other reviews I wonder if there is another Dr. Nicholas Watkins in Hilliard that I am not aware of. The Dr. Watkins I know (Hilliard Family Medicine on Leap Rd) has been my and my adult-childrens (they are both handicapped and in wheelchairs) doctor for many, many years. He is very knowledgeable; always professional; always kind, and my kids adore him. He has never been rude or insensitive to us. Please check your own attitude.
