Dr. Strange Review
Dr. Strange has been my primary care physician for over 5 years and he is the best primary care physician I have had as an adult. He is always prompt in responding to my questions or concerns. He is extremely effective in his communication skills and making his observations understandable. All in all just super to work with and i have 100% confidence in the care he provides me.

Mixed Review
Dr. Strange would probably be a much better doctor if he weren't under the Permanente Medical Group umbrella. I always got the feeling he cares about his patients; I always found him pretty supportive if I came to him with an idea (unless it ran against KP policy). The issue that I ran into with him, is that all too often I would complain of ailments through the messaging app, and he wouldn't offer ideas at all, so I would wind up researching solutions myself and paying for cash doctors and cash scripts instead. One of the many problems with the Kaiser model is that Permanente PCPs are overloaded with patients, so most of the 'care' happens via the messaging app, where a great deal is simply missed or dropped. I would prefer that a doctor immediately be thinking of possible suggestions when a patient brings up medical complaints - it's their expertise that should guide the process. I do think Dr Strange would probably operate differently if he were an independent physician.

Dr Strange seems to be more about the money than the care of his patients. Once he told me at my annual check up that we couldn't talk about my ailments unless I made another appointment. Another check up I filled out the paperwork where I marked something bothering me. He asked me about it and gave no help yet double-billed for the appointment. I miss Dr Umino who would go over everything with me year after year and charged me just for the one visit.

I have been a patient of the medical group for many years, have the highest opinion of the staff, like the new location, and have the HIGHEST regard for Dr. Strange and his attention to details. My personal medical history has been a train-wreck, and I have been treated by a vast range of MDs.

I've seen Dr.Strange about 6-8 times after the other doctors left the practice. I find him very condescending. I also overheard him talk down to the front office staff as he was talking about patients who are "the time takers". I also don't have confidence in his medical decision making after he sent me off for further specialized therapies two separate times for diagnoses I can see now that I don't have.

When determining a patients competency, Dr. Strange uses a rather peculiar method in which he asks the patient to identify family members and if the patient answers correctly he then points to himself and asks the patient who am I whereby if the patient says ...you are my doctor He immediately states see, he has no clue and proceeds to tell the patient and others that the correct answer is the name he pointed to on his name tag which of course was obscured by his hand. IDIOT.

arriving with a stiff shoulder and lots of pain. Dr Strange checked my shoulder very gentile and explain to me about my pain. he asked plenty of questions to get to the bottom of the reason for my pain and I was able to remember why my shoulder was in so much pain. he also explain the different treatments and how long my pain might stay. I choose to get a shot and walk out of the Dr's office feeling a lot better. the new Staff was helpful over the phone. Thank you Dr. Strange.

Looking for a new doctor. Dr. Strange very nice but front office is horrible and rude. Had to fight with clerk on phone and then ask for Office Manager to get an emergency situation satisfied rather than wait 2 days, as the clerk on phone said I had to wait...I could have been dead by then. Faith in my well being for treatment is very very low. Clerk in front office rudeness and disregard for patients is not worth the medical expertise you finally get. More of a money maker in/out than care.
