Dr. Nicholas Pantano, MD

Dr Pantano is the best. He takes care of my husband who has a complex medical history. When my husband was struggling with GI issues for almost a year we went to go see GI. Unfortunately they did not help much. Dr Pantano ordered a newer medication that he thought could work. Now 6mo later his symptoms are much better. We love Dr P. He takes his time, especially when my husband has follow up from the hospital. He reviews all of the medications and specialist follow ups. One last thing that is great is that he does joint injections. This saves soo much time, rather than waiting to get into orthopedics. Dr P truly cares about us and for us.

I don’t often leave reviews, but in looking at my doctors online reviews I felt obligated to leave a positive review. I feel that only disgruntled patients ever leave reviews, which is not fair to providers or prospective patients looking for a quality doctor. I am truly impressed with highgate as a whole. The staff are pleasant and helpful with scheduling and med refills. Dr Pantano himself is kind, open, and easy to talk to. He actually sits down and listens. Every visit he asks if there is anything I would like to talk about, and often times I have a few things. He explains the treatment that is recommended or offers reassurance if nothing is needed. I appreciate that he is conservative, and prefers nondrastic measures first like PT or lifestyle changes as opposed to medicines or surgery right away. I trust his medical judgement, and appreciate that treatment plans are a joint decision. Overall he is a wonderful doc who I am truly grateful for and highly highly recommend!

Does not treat your symptoms. Does not listen. If you express to him you want to solve your medical issues he complains to a supervisor that you disrespected him. Worst primary I have ever seen. Go elsewhere for your care if you want to be treated like a human.
