Worst ER Doctor I have come across
This doctor picks & chooses which symptoms he thinks are necessary for a diagnosis! I brought my husband into the ER because the pain he had been experiencing the last 2-3 weeks in his shoulder & arm worsened, now radiating into his chest. He also had numbness, tingling in his fingers since the START of the shoulder pain(I found out the day before after his chiropractor recommended an MRI since his adjustments had not helped & he was told about the numbness). Off course the doc went for a heart issue right away & said that the numbness was carpal tunnel. I asked about an MRI since it was recommended & I believed it to be something affecting his nerves. This was not an option & condescendingly told me why not. All the labs, tests came back normal & told to follow up. NO suggestions for his PAIN! Got the MRI done elsewhere later & he has 3 different stages of herniated discs in his neck, the worst one is leaking & is putting pressure on his NERVE thus the pain and numbness!

Pray for Dr Menth
I think this doctor is deeply unhappy and lacking good relationships outside of his work to be such an unempathetic, disinterested, and smug person. He reminds of someone who grew up with dysfunction. His ego and mindset likely not only push patients away, but also good people in his life. I imagine he is very lonely. I feel deeply sorry for him and hope he finds help.

Find a Different Doctor!
I had surgery on some herniated discs, and 8 weeks after surgery I felt like I had a reherniation. I went to ER as I was told and unfortunately this doctor was there. Nurses were great and helpful. Dr. Menth came in and completely dismissed me. 'I see back pain everyday, I know it sucks, but I don't know why people come to the ER for it because I'm not a back doctor.' He told me I was moving my legs so he wasn't concerned. He told me I should try physical therapy. He did no diagnostic imaging as other ER's have done for me. He left me in the room writhing in pain for more than an hour with no pain meds. He actually stood there and just watched me. I begged him to help me and asked why he wasn't helping me, and he said 'He is helping by explaining his position'. Which was do nothing and let me suffer. Didn't send me home with pain meds, a plan, literally nothing. Smug, pompous, unhelpful, and should not be a doctor considering how he carries himself. Find a different ER!!

Beware. Horrible Doctor
Bad reviews are accurate. If you go to Maple Grove ER and Dr. Menth is working, leave or request a different doctor. He is negligent, unprofessional, and unhelpful. My grandfather was in agony and he did nothing to help or relieve his pain. He sent my grandfather home in pain, without pain meds and without suggestions. He told my grandfather to call his primary doctor the next day. He has a smug attitude and is completely disinterested in helping others.

Dr. Evil
I one hundred percent agree with the negative reviews and suspect the positive one was written by Menth himself. I had the misfortune of seeing Menth at the Urgency Room. He made disgusted noises and faces when he saw my infected thumb. He's smug and dismissive, as noted by others. His delivery of a numbing shot was either intended to be painful or he's a blundering amateur (my wife bet on sadism). Half the numbing agent sprayed in my face as he bungled and twisted the syringe around. Avoid this man at all costs.

WORST DOCTOR IN PRACTICE
These negative reviews are completely accurate. The service was shockingly poor, and it's difficult to imagine that anyone would willingly choose to see this doctor. It's fortunate that he's restricted to working in urgency rooms, as he wouldn't retain any patients if he had his own practice. In the end, my son and I decided to leave and seek treatment elsewhere from a compassionate and capable medical professional.

Terrible
Dr. Menth was completely invalidating and disregarded all my concerns. The nurses were nice but not much could be done when Dr. Menth dismissed everything I tried to bring up. He has a complete lack of empathy or common decency and I will never be visiting the Maple Grove Hospital again solely because of him.

Instead of answers, I left with even more questions about my condition-which Dr. Menth completely disregarded and dismissed almost immediately. It’s hard to believe people like this are in the medical field.

I'm not rating a 5 based on how timely my issue was dealt with, but the beside manner of Dr. Menth in the E.R. was stellar. I was dealing with a super painful abscess and Dr. Menth was called in after the PA's couldn't handle the issue themselves. He came in, gave me all my options, literally offered to and then did hold my hand and chatted with me during the process. It was by far the best E.R. experience I've ever had. Thanks, Dr. Menth!

I went into the ER with something I was very concerned about. Instead of getting any sympathy or reassurance, I was treated like an inconvenience to him as if I was wasting his time. After a few tests, a nurse came and discharged me. He couldn't even come in and talk to me about their findings. The nursing staff was great, but Dr. Nick made me feel like my concerns didn't matter and I left with more questions than I arrived with. I would never recommend this provider if anyone can help it. He's a waste of time and money.
