Dr. Nicholas Mataragas, MD

When I first went he was kind and I thought that he was being attentive to my concerns, as tone progressed I came to the realization that this Dr. Didn't really put me at ease or calm my fears. On my second visit instead of Dr. Mataragas coming into the examining room where I was waiting I was greeted by someone else who works with a Dr. Gupta who I've never heard off nor was I introduced to, this other person simply went onto discuss a procedure for the hips and the cost abd proceeded to trek me on its not covered by insurance, again I was not at put at ease, nor how this procedure is performed did effect or success rate. Last night it hit me, where was the emotion, the car, the explanation of how this week be fine. How early should I be there. Do I bring someone with me? All I was told were costs and to set up a date. I'm in so much pain from my herniated discs and that is adding to my sciatica on my sides. In top of this the lack of concern and fears that no one seems to care on how I'm feeling especially when I expressed to Dr. Mataragas my fears of needles going down my spine as I had a bad experience somr years ago. He only smile and walked out of the room. I'm aware that I'm not his only patient. But please show done empathy as I need to earn your trust with my life. He seems like a nice man But I need a caring professional.

We had absolutely the best experience. First with the appointment. Same day. Unheard of. But yes, it happened. The staff greeted us in a welcoming manner and once paperwork 2 minutes later, called in to see the DR. I have to say, being the wife of the patient, my husband, Completely impressed how I was treated and addressed and included in the conversation. We went in thinking surgery and walked out with such a solid plan from the DR. We are so blessed to have received a referral from my husband’s employer the Miami Dolphins enough. This was one of the best experiences that we have had with a first appointment. More to come with treatment of his aliment. However , we feel we are in perfect hands. Not only with DR. But also his team and staff

I called and left a message and they never returned my call. I’m waiting to get an ablation on my neck and told me the needles for the procedure didn’t arrive it’s been 3 weeks no phone call. If they ever call I definitely am going to cancel my procedure. I will never go there again.

Great doctor, great PA, great support staff. I felt informed and knew what to expect before, during and after my lumbar fusion. I felt totally confident coming into surgery

I thought I would be in a lot more pain after my spinal fusion but I wasn't. I was able to get back to my activities after surgery. I am very pleased with the results

The Kyphoplasty procedure has removed the pain I had from the fracture. I am back doing all the things I want and am even exercising again. Having the procedure in the office worked very well and after the Kyphoplasty my pain was gone in 2 days.

It is awesome to have a doctor with a world class medical team fighting to get approval for my surgery. It was a real battle and it was a surgery I badly needed. I was surprised by how quickly I recovered from the cutting edge, minimally invasive techniques. Two weeks after my surgery I drove to my appointment unassisted and was back to most activities.

No pain at all during the Kyphoplasty treatment. I felt immediate improvement, and then continued to have gradual improvement after it was done. I would recommend getting it done with Dr. Mataragas to anyone with compression fractures of their spine
