Kind and compassionate physician
I have been in pain for well over a year went to different doctors. All said it was my back went to Dr. Mata and he said he thought it was my hip after examining me. He then set me up for an appointment to have an injection in my hip and since then it’s been two months and I’ve had no pain in my hip or back. Thank you Dr. Mata!! I strongly recommend him to anyone that is having back or hip pain.

Nice guy, but ineffective
He is a nice person and has great bedside mannerisms, what’s concerning to me is that even as a pain management doctor, he is on principle completely against using opioid medications regardless of the patient‘s diagnosis or the situation. I have tried everything else, including several surgeries, physical therapy for years, other pharmaceuticals, but my pain is debilitating. You can get a referral for physical therapy and a script for gabapentin from your primary care physician, there really isn’t any reason to come see Dr Mata if you already tried those things.

My initial impression was very positive. Since then I have found he rushes through the appointment. He does not seem to believe what they say about my pain. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone anyone.

EXCELLENT PAIN MANAGEMENT
DR. MATA SERVES PAIN MANAGEMENT TO SUCH A HIGH DEGREE, THAT THERE IS NO FINER THAN HIS PRACTICE.
