Dr. Maglaras should not specialize in pulmonology because he doesn't have the expertise. He also doesn't listen to his patients nor provide responses that make sense or come from a caring attitude. I have several people in my life who have gone to him and had to switch doctors due to his incompetency.

A+Dr. I've been a patient for 26 years!! He is a no nonsense straightforward man. He tells it like it is. Very compassionate and understanding. I have an extremely rare genetic lung disease and not many Dr's know much about it. This man jumped through hoops and luckily found me a specialist that he knows in NJ. Although it's 40 miles away I am lucky that he is in NJ ,and that Dr Maglaras knows him,so I trust this man with my life so I know he wouldn't send me to some quack Dr. I Highly recommend

Loud, obnoxious, interruptive. ER told me asthma 2x. Told me ER doctors know nothing. Spoke loudly while listening to my breathing, then un-diagnosed my asthma.I wasn't having an attack! Told me hypermobility doesn't exist (I have BJHS). Told me I have no asthma but that I shouldn't stop my asthma medicine and wouldn't elaborate. Told him I WAS willing to consider 0 asthma if he would explain. 1 day later, a doctor who bothers to examine me runs tests: Obvious asthma + vocal cord dysfunction.
