Dr. Nicholas Healy, DO

Hands down the BEST emergency doctor in the world! Dr. Healy has the most soothing demeanor and clearly knows his medicine. I'm from California but was in Tampa when excruciating back pain sent me to HCA Florida South Tampa. Thanks to Dr. Healy and his team, I was in and out within an hour and a half. Talk about terrific timing! I could not ask for better care. His discharge instructions were thorough, plus the recommendations he promulgated to my family doctor and chiropractor back home are getting me back to 100%. Thanks so much, Dr. Healy! You're the best! I hope to see you again in either Tampa or if you visit the San Francisco Bay Area!

We took my 93 year old mom to the ER and fortunately we have Dr Healy on this day. He was on point, he really care and explained everything to us. We’re very pleased with his care and all the profesional and caring people who work at the Memorial Hospital in south Tampa. God bless everyone who works there!

I saw Dr Heal at Memorial Hospital in Tampa. If I were reviewing the hospital I would give it 1-2 stars. There was dried blood from a previous patient on the metal railing of my bed and no soap in the bathrooms, just to name a few of my concerns with the facility. Anyway, just as I was getting ready to get dressed and go to a different ER, Dr Healy appeared. He was so gracious, understanding, and soft spoken that I immediately felt more at ease about staying there. Dr Healy apologized for the dirty bed. He validated my concerns, assured me he was confident in his ability to treat my condition without giving me a secondary infection, and moved me to a different bed that I watched him personally give an extra wipe down to. Dr Healy worked with me to find medications I felt comfortable taking (as opposed to just giving me Fentanyl). He was very gentle during the procedure itself, and he was professional the entire time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Healy!

I saw Dr Healy at Memorial Hospital ER on January 2, 2017 and he was stellar in his care for me. His treatment was thorough, asking very specific questions; his manner was gracious and respectful; he was sensitive to my pain issues, and he explained clearly his assessment, the limits of ER treatment, and recommendation for follow up. The ER at Memorial overal treated me very well, with friendliness, care and efficiency.

Dr. Healy was rude and did not listen to my concerns, I felt worse after my emergency room visit. The worst experience I have ever had in an emergency room. Lacked any compassion.
