For my well visit, Dr. Doan seems very thorough. However, after recovering from covid, but still with a cough (after taking a round of antibiotics from Urgent Care) I called to see Dr. Doan to see if, since I am still coughing, I could be seen and have her listen to my lungs to see if I need an X-ray. I was told that she is not seeing sick patients in person. If I cannot see my doctor when I am sick, what is the point of having a doctor? No fever, just a cough. they said I could go to an urgent care facility or the Emergency room if things got worse.

Dr. Doan was less rushy than other doctors these days but seemed to disregard a symptom that I experienced just as she walked out of the examination room. She seems nice so not sure the tension in her office is from her or her medical asst Courtney who seems to have a tendency to cover up mistakes instead of using professional communication practices that consider listening to the patient as they talk. Instead she cut me off a few times while I asked questions about why I couldn't receive the link to the portal to access my lab results. The excuse was that email addresses could not be taken over the phone. This is strange since she decided to give me a general lab report via phone with just my birthday for verification. It's been several months and I've not received documented lab results.

Dr. Doan is young and knows her medicine. She is very thorough, doesn’t rush you and listens to your concerns. My husband also sees her. Great bedside manner and she explains things which I like. I highly recommend her.
