Great psychiatrist
If you're looking for a psychiatrist who values evidence-based interventions, Dr. Akinbile is a great choice. She is skilled, compassionate, and levelheaded. It feels better in the short term to have a psychiatrist who will greenlight the thing you've staked your hopes on, but in the long term it's way better to have one who knows the science and will advocate for your genuine well being. When I met her, I was very ill with a hard-to-treat diagnosis, and no one can make it easy for me, but I've made slow and steady improvement when I didn't think I could. That alone is an endorsement. I got lucky to have her as my psych.
