Dr. Neil Thakkar, DO

He has done an injection on me and I am scheduled for another. He is competent and caring. My hubby is seeing him as well.

Dr. Thakkar and staff always listen and get to the real problem , I have never felt rushed or less than important.

Dr. Thakkar is empathetic and thorough. He listens, he explains carefully, and he is highly effective in his treatments.

Office staff claimed they accepted my insurance, accepted copay and it turns out this dr only accepts insurance through employer which is DISCRIMINATION at its finest. He was very dismissive and treated my issues callously. Referred me to a place that didn't accept insurance as well. FAIL FAIL FAIL. GREEDY DOCTOR that disciminates against low income people.

Dr Thakkar takes time to explain the procedure you are receiving and is very caring

Dr. Thakkar is personable and listens to you. He identifies what is wrong with you and treats it accordingly. I walked into his office with acute pain in my lower back from a fractured sacrum. He immediately knew how to treat it and after 3 steroid injections, I was able to play tennis and golf. Amazing!!! Now I am being treated by him for neck pain. I could hardly turn my neck from side to side. Again, after seeing him and treating me, I am again in great shape! I highly recommend Dr. Thakkar.

I have experienced great results since I began seeing Dr. Thakker. He always is pleasant to deal with, even when very busy. I trust his opinions. Additionally, his staff is great, pleasant and hekpful.

I have seen Dr. Thakkar twice for different lower back pains. Each time, Dr. Thakkar quickly diagnosed the source of my pain and provided medical treatment that quelled my pain. He is personable, unhurried and a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Thakker is an excellent pain doctor. He is current in his profession, sensitive to patient needs and thorough in evaluating issues and administering treatment(s) necessary to alleviate pain. I highly recommend Dr. Thakkar.

Terrible. The longer he was my doctor the worse the treatment got. He is an elitist. Thinks he's better than his patients. He's a liar. Lied to me twice that I know of. Has no comprehension of what pain is besides the 1-10 pain scale. If you're looking for a referral I would say FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR.

Very professional,everything is done on time(no wait)! Got good relief of back pain after the treatment. I had pretty much done everything to get relief and failed. luckily I was referred to Dr. Thakkar by a P/T !

After seeing several doctors, going to physical therapy and leaving my primary care doctor of 15 years, I found AZ Pain Doctors and Dr. Thakkar. I suffered from back pain for several months. My primary care doctor gave me a few pain shots that did nothing and told me to go to PT but didn't recommend anyone. They didn't refer me to get an MRI. I switched Drs and my new primary doctor provided meds and I found a Spine Dr. I got the MRI which showed a bulging herniated disk and a torn disk. That Spine Dr had horrible bedside manner. I had to wait 14 days for an epidural and in the meantime gave me a list of PTs but didn't make a recommendation. The PT I went to made my pain worse. I had the epidural and it was very expensive as the Spine Doc had their own 'surgery center' that cost me way more than it needed to be. Then I found Dr. Thakkar. He listened and was able to assist with my pain. I received two more epidurals at reasonable costs. He recommended a great PT. Forever thankfu

Dr. Thakkar is very caring and knowledgeable when it comes to his profession. Really takes his time to assist my needs, and monitoring my conditions. My name is Gracie Novak, I am a patient of Dr. Thakkar for about 2 years now. I went to have a back injection done on my back when I took off my shoe to get on the table for injection Dr. Thakkar noticed that my left foot toes were black. At that time he said I needed to get to a hospital right away, because I had a blockage in my heart. I went to the hospital and had stents put in my heart right away they told me if I waited just a little longer I could of died. Dr. Thakkar saved my life!!!

Honest, friendly, offers effective solutions. Great staff-very efficient. The office appears to run like a well oiled machine. Everyone works to get you in and out and making sure you feel better. Dr. Thakkar was recommended to me by my general practitioner, who also sees Dr. Thakkar for his own back issues.
