Dr. Neil Levine, MD

I am speaking for Dr. Neil Levine... he is really amazing. I went here in the beginning of a very horrible experience that I would not wish on anybody and Dr. Levine made it bearable. He did not get the exact diagnosis (My condition is, I understand, common, yet hard to find and therefore clinically challenging) but he is the one I attribute my healing to. The reason why is because he is the one that got my brain in the right place. He tested me for B12 deficiency. He was SO CLOSE. Because of him and my agony, it led me down a google search path.... then it hit me... IRON! It fit my lifestyle so well! But the CBC's didn't indicate anemia, I said... Well I searched and before I knew it I learned about "Iron deficiency without anemia", AKA "latent iron deficiency", AKA "hypoferritinemia". I learned that I needed my Ferittin tested!!! I asked UCSD (another doctor) but nobody would respond. My situation was TERRIFYING. When your body starts to not have oxygen in your brain and elsewhere,

Great doctor with wonderful bedside manner. His staff are friendly, caring and efficient.

I've been using Dr. Levine as my primary care physician for 10 years and hope to continue with him and his staff for another 10 years. He/they are thorough, friendly, caring and most of all, concerned with insuring all aspects of my total health is monitored, reviewed and with follow up. In general, his specialist referral base is excellent.

Dr. Levine is an old school Doctor in a great way - a rare find these days! He treats each appointment as an important part of life and really wants to help patients. He created an efficient system in which he spends the time needed & listens to his patients while still adhering to the modern managed medical care system we are stuck with. His assistants coordinate everything with him and he makes sure each member of his team uses their strengths to help the patient.
