I started bringing my elderly parents to Dr. Levin after their second longtime GP retired. He did a great job of reviewing their medications from various specialists, coordinating communication with all of them, and centralizing all their health information in his office. He questioned several meds that he had concerns about, re: necessity, dosage, and conflicts with other meds. He reduced the overall prescription load by communicating with all the specialists. That was great. He seems basically compassionate and listens well. My one issue is that he would usually speak to me rather than to my mom or dad when I would take them in, and he tended to mumble. My parents, like many 80+ year olds, had hearing deficiencies, and could never understand what he was saying because he wouldn't look directly at them when talking and wouldn't speak clearly and loudly enough. I would tell him to please speak to my mom and not to me; I would understand. He'd try, but then forget. Knows his stuff.

I will not recommend Dr. Levin. Saw him after my doctor retired but will not return. Refuses to continue my medication for osteoporosis because it is not profitable enough for his practice. He is very forthcoming about the business of profit.
