Clown act
Stayed on phone with someone while we sat with masks and his was worn like a beard for ten minutes. Muttered out loud about knowing exactly what my wife’s problem was for twenty minutes and only told us his opinion as we left. Dictated a message to a machine that stated she has no balance on right side and L4 wasn’t firing and said all my wife’s physicians should be copied and none were notified. My wife had 4 levels lumbar done with plates and screws 4 months before and we were seeing a neurologist for balance issues. He stated she could not walk without assistance yet never returned our call for a handicap placard a couple days later. My wife cried all day after we left and he told her he had pity for her plight and that there might never be improvement. He couldn’t help her on examination table and asked the 74 yr old husband to perform task. Should not be practicing. Did only harm

I have been seeing Dr. Allen for a few years now, and I wouldn't want to be treated by anyone else. I had been to two other doctors before him and I finally felt like I was being heard with Dr. Allen. He's very thourough, to the point, tells you exactly like it is, which I like about a doctor. Don't sugar coat anything, it does nobody any good. I have even referred friends to him. I will continue to see him until he no longer practices.

Dr. Allen's treatment for my headaches has worked. However, he has made patronizing comments, on multiple occasions, regarding my weight (despite my PCP not being concerned about my weight.) He also gossiped about the patient he saw immediately before me. I will not be returning.

Dr Allen is completely unprofessional and condescending to both the patient & staff. He refused to wear his mask while working with me, called me derogatory names, and was extremely arrogant. At one point, he told me to go to his office and read all his medical degrees. Dr Allen had a student shadowing him, which is unthinkable! The office was old and disgusting. I would never go back.

My family and I got absolutely zero out of working with Dr. Allen. He is brash, rude, and condescending. Took our appointment 30 minutes late, and spent half the time going off on tangents that had nothing to do with my father’s health. He dismissed our concerns and acted like our questions were stupid. Multiple other doctors we’re consulting completely disagreed with his decisions. Stay away from this doctor.

Dr. Allen is knowledgeable; however, his unprofessionalism is intolerable. He berates his staff and talks down to patients. He puts his ego above his patient's well-being. If you can get past his horrible demeanor more power to you. There are better doctors that don't treat their patients like garbage.

I met Dr,Neil 10 years ago at Lake Forest Hospital and he right away did the proper exams and diagnosed me with epilepsy and he knew exactly what medication to give me. He is the best neurologist in the world. He has been there for me all these years and he is let me tell you so smart and very carrying, I love him, all these other doctors didn't know what was wrong with me and mistaken my illness with panic attacks and he took care of me.
