Dr. Neha James, DO

Dr. James is very kind, approachable and professional. She really made me feel comfortable during the exam and walked me through the treatment options. Her explanations were helpful in helping understand why one treatment method may be more helpful and preferred over the other options. Would recommend again.

Dr James is very keen and listened to all of my concerns before making a plan. She discussed the underlying condition and the plan to handle it in detail, and that instantly made me feel comfortable. She is very talented and attentive, and would not hesitate to make enhancements and adjustments to the protocol based on the progress. Best doctor overall, I am very confident in her protocol and approach towards a problem.

Dr. James is nice enough (except that she pushed back on my resistance to her injections after an extreme pain reaction— it was only after a 10 minute phone call that I finally drove my point home that I wanted a more conservative approach)… the low rating has to do partially with this but also with who completely non functional her NYC office is. I have wasted literally hours of my life on the phone with them because they could not do basic things like get insurance clearance for an MRI (among other things). Honestly, Dr. James did next to nothing to help this and was not very apologetic. I am seeking care elsewhere.

Dr. James has one of the best dispositions of any healthcare provider I have seen. She is a good listener, believes her patients, and is knowledgable about pelvic health. With such scary symptoms, I am blessed that Dr. James is my provider.

Dr. James has been wonderful to work with. From our first consultation, she was very warm, thorough, and made sure I knew my treatment options every step of the way. I appreciated her explaining how pain is interpreted by the brain and that she takes a multifaceted approach that looks at both the nerves and muscles of the pelvic floor separately and how they interact with each other. After feeling hopeless for a treatment that could help outside of surgery, I now feel empowered being a part of my treatment plan to help alleviate my pelvic pain from endometriosis. I know at some point I may need to get surgery, and I'm glad I now have the proper tools to continue to heal my body by focusing on what I can control with my pelvic floor. I have noticed a significant improvement and have pain free days, whereas before I had what felt like a baseline on-going pain that would spike when I had flare ups. I truly feel more in control of my life and am so grateful for Dr. James and her care team!
