Dr. Neeraj Bhushan, MD

I have been patient of DR Bhushan for more then 40 years. He detected two my cancers at early stage and saved my life. He has always diagnosed correctly and I am great full to him for his excellent service. He has even given me good advice in my personal issues. He always take his time to explain medical issue and is always very respectful. With him i know i am in good hands

Dr Bhushan has been our family doctor for almost 40 years and each and every time -- on appointments --he has provided a very attentive ear, thorough analysis of symptoms and follow ups as needed. His knowledge, expertise and synrgistic approach are highly commendable. I wish him all success in what he is doing for the community. as a whole, namely, service.

Been his patient since 1990’s. Very good doctor. I moved out of state and still try to get back to him periodically.

Dr. B. has been providing services to me for several years. My medical issues are very complex and he has always made the right call for referrals I needed. He has always been willing to listen to me and seems genuinely to care about my wellbeing, whereas others have not.

Dr. Bhushan told me I should get a check of my sedimentation rate. When I went in for the test, I told the people clearly what I was there for, and they drew the blood. A week later they called to say the blood test was OK. But when my lab bill came in, I saw they had done a number of other tests, but not the one I needed - the sed rate. This was upsetting to me, because it showed that Dr. Bhushan wasn’t paying attention to what was going on. An internist is supposed to see the big picture, but he seemed unable to correctly order a test that he had recommended himself. I called Dr. Bhushan and told him this was unacceptable, and that I didn’t think I could continue to have him as my doctor. He became angry and defensive, and asked me if I had ever made a mistake myself. Yes, Doctor, I have made mistakes, but there is an important difference between you and me. I am not a very important person, and so my mistakes are far less consequential than yours. You have lost a patient.

Dr. Bhushan has helped me tremendously with a thorough and careful approach. He identified an urgent lung issue (after other providers kept throwing antibiotics at me), helped me through a hospital stay and navigating an unclear/complicated autoimmune diagnosis and its impacts on my work and lifestyle. Through it all, he has been kind, compassionate and willing to explain. Truly a wonderful doctor!

Difficult to write this but I have been trying to get a prescription refilled and have called his office three times in four days and have spoken to a live person each time and now 6 days later from the first call and they have still not called the prescription in to the pharmacy. The pharmacy has also faxed in requests. Both of us are baffled at there failure to call in the prescription.

Poor diagnosis, poor follow up. He insisted that I may have a terminal illness with no basis. He did not let up until I agreed to take a test. He never called me with results. I got the results from the lab myself and made an appointment to see him and only him. I emphasized that I do not want to see NP. Yet he was not available & NP showed up. She is incompetent and ill mannered. She said that she'd do other tests and would follow up ASAP. Well she did not. I believe he is reckless.

I hate to write this review because Dr. Bushan use to be a great doctor. Very personal, always willing to spend the time to listen and help you understand conditions and treatment. Things in his practice have changed unfortunately. Now they seem more interested in scheduling potentially unnecessary follow up visits and/or tests and, once you finally get a diagnosis, they leave you hanging without a plan for treatment. This has happened both to mys husband and I in the last year so not a fluke.
