Dr. Sandhu spent an hour with me to determine the source of pain in my lower back and hip. I have seen physicians for this problem for more than a decade. He is an excellent listener and also does a very thorough examination to try to identify possible problems. He believes in following conservative approaches to identifying and treating back and spinal problems. He is a tremendous physician and I would highly recommend him if you have back pain which has proved hard to resolve.

Medical care is a tricky one. How to find the good ones, the human beings that actually know their stuff and care? In the case of Dr. Sandhu, I just got lucky. I had established a relationship with Dr. Sandhu in early December, 2018. I had had some nerve issues before, and knew what a steroidal shot would do for me. I came in, he examine me, an we scheduled the procedure. Unfortunately, in the middle of the night just a few days later, I had an emergency and was transported to the UW ER. I had a severely herniated disk and was in level 10 pain. 6 firemen had to deadlift me to an ambulance. In the ER the nurses, residents, attending, and spine surgeons that were consulted were split on what was going on. I asked to talk to Dr Sandhu. I had his work phone number and used it. He called me back less than an hour later, in the middle of the night. In all the craziness that was going on all around me, Dr. Sandhu was the one person who was competent and caring. The only person who treated

Sorry, very little confidence in this provider. Didn't look at prior records before appointment and as a result, didn't have time to allow me to provide description of symptoms. Wrote up a visit summary that was inconsistent with our actual discussions, and then ignored email requests for clarification of tests which were ordered. Was advised that UW wouldn't allow me to "change" to a different doctor so I ended up at Swedish. Ended up with a wonderful neurosurgeon and treatment.
