Excellent! He's an outstanding surgeon, saved my husband's life.

Dr. Naveed Zafar is amazing, caring, and helps to make you feel better and does just that. He is up front and honest and explains the situation and puts your worries at ease. The first time I met him was in the ER. I had diverticulitis. I didn't know what that was or that I had it until it ruptured. I was very sick and hurting so bad. I didn't realize at first how bad my situation was, but he then let me know and explained everything. I felt and still feel today very safe in his hands and know he will do his best to fix my problems and make me feel better. After my first surgery with him, I didn't want anyone else taking care of me or another doctor doing the second part of my surgery, I wanted him. Now here I am 4 years later and having stomach pain issues really bad again and need my hernia fixed, and the first and only doctor I thought of and wanted to see is Dr. Naveed Zafar. I met Dr Zafar when I was sent to Baytown Methodist Hospital from Neighbors ER in Crosby. Dr Zafar was very Professional, but in the same time spoke to me in Laymen terms I could understand. He performed surgery the surgery on me a few days later, because I take Plavix and it had to be out of my system before he could perform surgery. The surgery was performed at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, which is a little bit older facility, but here again the Professionalism of all the Staff and employees far exceeded my previous experiences at the Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Dr Zafar and the Hospital staff were top notch throughout my stay. I highly respect and recommend Dr Zafar.

Very competent surgeon. Super nice guy with great bedside manner. Kept me well informed throughout the whole surgery process. Spent all the time required to assure that all of my questions and concerns were answered or addressed. Would highly recommend Dr Zafar.

My first visit was an eye opener. No one took my blood pressure or weighed me or even ask who my primary physician is. No questions about medications I take for hypertension. My dentist shows more concern for my health, always checks my blood pressure before I get my teeth cleaned. Dr just advised that I could have surgery the end of the week. Was surprised that Dr didn’t suggest an EKG before surgery. I cancelled surgery with Dr Zafar. It took 5 calls and 3 weeks to get money returned.

Very nice. He knows what he is doing. Also he cares about he's patients.
