Wonderful Cardiologist
I have been a patient of Dr. Shaik for about 8 years. He is the BEST cardiologist when it comes to dealing with Afib. I highly recommend him.

Great Doctor
Dr. Shaik is a dedicated health care professional that listens to your concerns. This visit I was very disappointed with his assistant. No personality and didn’t listen to a thing I told her. My refill prescriptions were not called into my pharmacy and really seemed like she didn’t care. I hope his old assistant “Sam” got a promotion because she was absolutely wonderful. The receptionist was great and I won’t let one person ruin my opinion of a great doctor.

KNOWLEDGE IS NOT EVERYTHING
I don´t question his knowledge. He performed an ablation on me for my A fib successfully, I just don´t like his manners. He basically wants you in and out in 5 seconds. You can can say things a certain way that make people love you or you might say that same thing on another way that will make people hate you. knowledge is not everything when you deal with people.

After seeing several cardiologists I was referred to Dr Shaik for an evaluation for my Afib condition. I had taken several medications & although I explained to him that I had a history of multiple bleeding ulcers, he prescribed Multaq 400. I had severe adverse reactions: chest pain, tightness, fatigue, headaches, etc. I kept on complaining about the pressure on my chest but Dr. Shaik insisted in the ablation which I wasn't ready. He would not change the medication & kept on telling me that he was not going to help me until I decided to help myself. My condition got worse & worse so my PCP sent me for a CT of my lungs. THE RESULT WAS ATELECTASIS & GROUND GLASS OPACITY. I ended up in the hospital & my PCP thought I had lung cancer. After 10 days out of that medication my lungs were clear. I was then referred to another electrophysiologist at Orlando Health. I felt so much confidence in the new doctor that I decided to do the ablation with him. It has been a month & I am extremely happy.

I echo what has been said previously in that he is very smart and equally rude. He refused to see me even though I had an appointment that had been scheduled in advance by his office and I have been a patient at the practice for over 15 years (my regular doctor was not available and so I was scheduled with him). He spent his time outside of the door arguing with the desk staff about who had put me on his schedule and announcing that he would not see me rather than just come into the exam room where I had been waiting for literally over an hour to simply speak with me. When he did finally come into the room he only managed to upset me. Skilled surgeon but lacks empathy and bedside manner. Unprofessional.

Very abrupt, lacks compassion or even listening to the patient. Bad bedside manners. Was sent by the hospital to see a cardiologist all he did was complain that we were there to see him like we had made it up. We would never recommend this Dr
