This doctor was wholly disinterested in treating my fibromyalgia pain. He said he “treats headaches”. This visit was a waste of my time and energy.

Arrogant
Dr. Schuster is your typical gaslighting doctor. He is not concerned with patients complaints and is generally unsympathetic. I would not waste my time with him.

Excellent Doctor
I felt that Dr. Schuster really listened to me, and put thought into what his next step would be. Dr. Schuster is the first of many doctors that I have seen that chose a different direction as to what may be contributing to my chronic headaches, and focused on my neck rather than just my head. By doing this, Dr. Schuster has begun to make a difference with my pain. I’m a tough case, and Dr. Schuster has made a difference.

Dr. Schuster states that he “does not diagnose” and “does not prescribe”. He was indifferent to my pain. Despite the fact that I shared that each of 3 neurologists I’ve seen have referred me to rheumatologists (which is not helpful) — Schuster referred me to a rheumatologist. Not helpful and doesn’t care.

Dr. M Schuster, MD He is very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I am very hard to understand and he was able to learn my severe issues. I have been with the Veterans Administration San Diego Health Systems since 1987. Instead of high-risk surgery I made a difficult decision to break away from the VA. Up to now I have been extremely Grateful to Dr. M Schuster, and his team at U.C.S.D.!!

Dr. Schuster is truly a very kind person and an empathetic doctor that cares! I'm glad I did my research and the reviews about Dr. Schuster on this website matches 1000%. I suffer from chronic headaches and migraines due to neck issues. I could not work or study because they were debilitating. He did a complete treatment with the trigger point injections (near jaw, shoulder, neck, forehead, shoulder blades) as where my Pain Management Specialist in Chicago did not (felt like he half-a$$ed it) in which I never got relief from my headaches. I got instant relief with Dr. Schuster in which brought me to tears of happiness! I highly recommend this doctor!

Dr. Schuster is an extremely kind and empathetic physician who very carefully listens to all aspects of patient's pain. Because of this, I feel that he gets to the root of the problem and is able to offer excellent treatment choices and pain relief.
