Dr. Nathaniel Crump Jr, MD

I sought out the U of C/Dr. Crump, *AFTER* experiencing a severe, bleeding episode which started at home, which prompted me to 1st get hospital care locally, where I had to have 4 units of blood at my local hospital. After I stabilized and came home, I knew that my worsening fibroid condition, etc., now warranted expert, specialty care, so I elected for an additional opinion at the U of C. The nurses, receptionists, us tech, and Dr. Crump have been great so far and I return tomorrow.

Got stuck with him because I needed the soonest appointment. Told him my symptoms and he dismissed them. Told me I was over reacting and it was completely normal and "happens". Went and saw Dr. Christmas and told her the same thing. She thought my symptoms were unusual and ordered blood work and an ultra sound. Turns out I had something so it's really horrible that he just dismissed me. That's what you get for going to a male gyno. Also, he looks like Stanley from the Office and its weird.

Dr. Crump spent about 30 minutes with my husband and I and said we would have to come back for another appointment if we had additional questions since he would have to charge us. For his 30 minute consultantion we were charged over $1,100. Big waste of time and money! Would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

He literally showed me the door because I wouldn't consent to an impromptu biopsy. Never had an abnormal pap and wasn't there for suspicion of cancer. He literally walked out of the room and told me to come back when I get some guts. He also said that biopsies are mandatory hospital protocol. I've never seen a hospital that requires all patients to have biopsies in search of cancer. Very odd. I would never go back.
