Dr. Nathan Landesman, DO

Dr. Landesman is an absolutely incredible and gentle doctor. He has an endearing and compassionate way about him. Very kind, listens to concerns, and is attentive to your needs. He could sense my fear for my colonoscopy and immediately made sure to ease my mind about the procedure.

My experience was not good with this doctor. I had two procedures with him--an upper scope and a failed colonoscopy. In the scope, they sucked my uvula into their suction device and after the procedure it was hanging in my throat. When I complained he said it was my fault as my uvula was extra long even though it had never bothered me before. I felt like he was gas lighting me. My second procedure was a colonoscopy a couple of years later. I did the prep (not fun), only to come out of the anesthesia where he told me I had a tortuous colon and I needed to go to Beaumont hospital to have a virtual CT colonoscopy (same prep). If they found anything I would still need another colonoscopy so I said no thanks. Skip ahead two years, I went to another Gastro doc and got another colonoscopy. He told me I did not have a tortuous colon and gave me a clean bill of health. Either Dr. Landesman is incompetent or getting a kick-back for referring people to Beaumont for CT scans.

Excellent bedside manners. Very kind and caring, personal yet professional. Specializes in gastroenterology , however consideration is given to whole body. Articulate in explaining detailed information. Takes plenty of time for discussions. Wonderful Doctor and will be sure to recommend him to others.
