Dr. Natalie Crawford, MD

I feel better after reading all the negative reviews about Dr. Crawford and her clinic because I had the exact same feeling about the treatment I received. It is very difficult to get information from Dr. Crawford and her staff, and her practices are questionable, but you aren’t able to ask questions or get information about anything. I am so glad that I have not invested more time and money at this clinic. Just know that there are much better options out there. Navigating fertility issues can be a very difficult time and you don’t need you provider making this experience any harder than it needs to be.

Terrible experience. Maybe it's because she was on her way out to start her own practice, so she didn't care about her existing patients as much? She told me at my very first consult that I could always email her if I had questions about my diagnosis, but she never returned any of my emails. If you're not going to answer emails, then don't tell people they can email you! She was not at all thorough, though her podcasts will tell you she's a data person, so she's always thorough. I never received anything other than 1 ultrasound and an HSG test before it was determined that I definitely needed IVF. And I assumed she knew what she was doing, so I trusted her and paid (completely out of pocket) to start IVF. Since she never did any blood work she had no way of knowing if I had hormonal issues or how I'd react to IVF meds. And surprise, surprise - I reacted the exact opposite of what she "expected." She exclaimed to me on my first IVF stim monitoring appointment, "WOW your ovaries explode

We have had a great experience with Dr. Crawford. We had experienced five years of infertility and were seeing another doctor for over a year with no results. We decided to switch to her and got pregnant on our first round of IVF with Dr. Crawford. She actually gave us WAY more information during our consultation sessions than any previous doctor. During routine appointments (ultrasounds, etc) she is busier and you have to have questions ready. She has a great bedside manner and gave us hugs when we found out we were pregnant. I also had no problems with emails or communication. I could email her nurse, Erika, and get a response within an hour. I highly recommend her!

For somebody who talks so much about "empowering women", she has a tendency to do the exact opposite if you challenge her in any way, shape, or form. Very educated & smart, but I'm looking for compassion & honesty. No tests ran before I paid $30,000 out of pocket for IVF. NO discussion about possible multiple cycles. & quite literally lied about the reason that my husband and I left the practice. Wouldn't recommend if you want to trust your doctor.

She seems rushed so it’s difficult to ask any questions. If you want to know how many eggs, YOU have to ask. That’s the #1 question a woman wants to know in a fertility clinic. Communication with her and the staff is terrible. They then blame you because a patient should already know everything. She can’t take constructive criticism when you speak the truth, even backed up by facts. Won’t return emails. The office emails, faxes, etc are first before they will respond to your message almost a day later. She wasted 1 and 1/2 years of precious time because it took her that long to figure out what my issue was. I tried telling her what it was way before and was never listened to. They want your money so beware. She will start you on a cycle when you have no real viable follicles so $1,500 gone. Can’t ask her why. She is driven and smart, but that’s not enough for me. I want time, answers, bedside manners, compassion, and communication. The office mgr herself is a problem...
